I can recommend this rescue place for injured and sick birds! The staff are compassionate and knowledgeable about saving birds.I left a pigeon there who had been attacked by a cat. Unfortunately I found out later she or he had died from the injuries, however that was no fault of theirs. The bird had been left too long before I was asked to help it! They have a smooth system which helps as many birds as is possible to survive. You need of course to take the bird there. They don't collect. They are in Greenbay, Auckland.

The volunteers and staff at BirdCare are doing a fantastic job caring for our wildlife. I went to a course on emergency bird care by their veterinary specialist and learned so much. Thank you for all you are doing.

I saved this little guy in Titirangi road - his leg was injured. Called up the BirdCare Centre and they told me to drop him between 10-11. Really friendly service and appreciate that they could take him in. They even gave me a reference number so I can call on his status.

My cat brought me a baby pigeon but in perfect condition so I called Bird are Aotearoa and a friendly staff member answered the phone saying just bring the bird. When you arrive you have a sense this is a special place . Everybody is volunteers and there is a vet on site daily. They really are passionate about helping the birds and you see that. You can give a donation if you want but its not compulsory. There is also an option to be a volunteer yourself. what a special place worth supporting and make sure it gets the funding they need to take care of the bird life. If you find a bird in need please take it to Birdcare Aotearoa and give the birds a place to heal recover and set free. So happy that too see that small at of kindness to birds go along way. Thank you for doing an amazing job.

This place is amazing. End up using them quite regularly.Open from 8:30 to 16:30 so it's important to keep those injured or abandoned birds warm if you can't get there straight after getting the bird.In need of volunteers, if you are interested have a look at their website to apply.

Took a baby bird here that was still not strong enough to fly, turned up without calling as their website says. They are super easy to find, very friendly and professional with awesome facilities - they require a donation of your choice when bringing in an animal but they are worth every penny you can spare!Keep up the awesome work team!

Great place to take any injured wild birds. We found some ducklings orphaned on the motorway last year and more recently a Thrush whom had been attacked by a cat and this is where we took both to. Donations are optional but they help them fund food and medicine and provide wonderful care and rehabilitation. Only open until 3pm. You can also help by becoming a volunteer.
