We cannot recommend enough our experience with Event Hire. We hired a clear marquee, wine barrels, chairs, chiller trailer, fairy lights and festoons for our wedding in Banks Peninsula. They were easy to deal with, went above and beyond and were REALLY reliable. We shopped around and this was by far the best deal in Christchurch.

Easy to deal with and team was helpful with ideas, hired a gazebo, outdoor lights, gas heaters and speaker. They did all the set up and it looked fantastic. And came the next day to take it away. I would hire from the team again. Thanks guys

Honest, easy going and supportive are the words which come to mind after dealing with Phil, Kate, Nick, Emma and the crew at Event Hire.We planned and had our wedding which catered for both vacc/unvacc, working through the changes of 'covid levels & lights.'As you might image, with our constant change of plans and ending up in Red the week before the wedding, Event Hire were incredibly supportive and flexible as we worked through the changes. The team were always calm, timely and happy to just make it work.We did our research looking at many different hire companies before engaging with Event Hire.These guys are owner/operators, a small, flexible team that don't hid behind company policies but have a yarn, work through the current situation and make a plan.We also found Event Hire to be slightly cheaper than most of the Chch competition which was an added bonus!Thanks Phil and your team!!

Event Hire are legends. It rained on the day of our garden party, and we realised we would need a marquee. From our 7am phone call (that was answered on a Sunday morning!!) to their can-do attitude, to getting a last minute team together to come over to Akaroa and erect a clear marquee all before our guests arrived at 2pm… It was literally unbelievable the effort they put in to make this happen for us on the day. The clear marquee looked awesome in the garden and our guests could still enjoy the views and surroundings despite the drizzle. It brought everyone together and created a real party vibe. Although it wasn’t in our budget to have a marquee for our party, it was definitely worth it, and we can recommend these guys HIGHLY. Thank you team for your above and beyond efforts!!

Kate and the team at Event Hire are fantastic. We hired a clear marquee and other bits and bobs for our wedding and we are very happy with the service we received. The marquee looked amazing and the team who came to site were very helpful, friendly and easy to deal with. Compared to other marquee hire places, the value for money you get at Event Hire is probably the best in Christchurch. Would 100% recommend. Thanks so much for making our big day stress free and beautiful
