Grahams Bush Walk
Lovely local bush walk. It's an epic climb up up up Mount Cargill. The track is well maintained. I'd recommend continuing on across the road to the Organ Pipes track and to the very top of Mount Cargill if you have the energy.

Is a nice walking, but if the day is wet is very hard, the ground is very slippery. Is 4km in one direction.

Some lovely examples of local native forest, as well as heaps of bird life! A bit boggy in places, but this is NZ ! Some quite steep sections, but it is a big hill !!

Meaty climb right off the bat, then into a really well maintained track meandering through the bush. Once there climb up the right hand side to the top of the organ pipes. Great 1 hr hike. Awesome views of blueskin bay and the peninsula.

This is a beautiful tract of native forest....so why has a hideous track been bulldozed through the bush alongside the walking track towards the top? Who on earth would give consent for this???

Lovely regenerating bush walk. Takes an hour from bottom to top. Especially nice on a sunny day with the sunny day with the sun shining through the leaves. Can continue to Organ Pipes and Mt Cargill (45 minutes one way).

It’s nice walk. Not very long or short. Little bit steep but not all the way. Nice view though.

This was a great hike. I felt fairly winded at the top. Lots of switchbacks to make the steep climb easier. There are some overlooks with great views along this hike and at the end of the hike you are rewarded with a good view before hopping on to the organ pipes track. The poison traps along the way worked, I saw a dead rat in one.

We walked down from Mt Cargill lookout, with fantails following us along sections and really enjoyed the walk. It crosses streams in a few places but there are either good bridges or it's easy to get across without wet feet. Even though it hadn't rained that day the track was slippery in places - it's not as well formed as coming up Mt Cargill from Bethune's Gully. Also it's in shaded valley quite a bit, so would get quite dark in the evening. There aren't any great viewpoints, but it's still a nice walk.Ends up at the top of Hall Road in Sawyers Bay. The old scout camp near the Sawyers Bay end looks like private property now. We didn't see anybody else on the walk, despite it being a Saturday afternoon!
