They disturb hundreds or even thousands of visitors of the Franz Josef Glacier each day by letting their helicopters fly the whole day. When we were hiking there, we had no 5 minutes in the 8 hours which we spent their, where we did not heard the helicopters. They are much louder than all birds over there. The most weirdest thing is, that one family also took a piece of ice from the glacier after their scenic flight.

We booked our flight before coming to NZ. Upon arrival in Franz Josef we visited their store front to confirm our reservation. Christine was extremely helpful and had a wondeful personality. She saw that we had a 3pm reservation and suggested that we change it to 9am due to better visibilty and flying conditions. She was 100% spot on. Our flight was AMAZING! I was lucky enough to be in the co-pilot seat. Tony, our pilot, has been flying for decades and it shows. I am a mechanic by trade so I asked a lot of questions about the aircraft which Tony entertained without hesitation. I have never seen views like this before. Tony pointed out each mountain and glacier and provided statics on all of them. I highly recommend their services.

Wow!What a great flight with Tony from Air Safari's. Thanks so much for accomodating us and our budget. The service was great - the flight path perfect and the kids were over the moon. A truely exhilarating experience. Highly recommended.

These guys had their runway and planes destroyed in the floods but still had their Franz Josef sales centre open as they were willing to bring planes over from their base in Tekapo. The lady was so nice and tried to help us as much as she could although the weather didn't help. We ended up not using these guys as we had to move on to the next destination. Their customer service was above and beyond to try to accommodate.

Such an incredible experience! Scheduled on a bad weather day, and Tony rescheduled our flight again and again that day, making sure we won't fly on a bad-view day, and answering any question we had.At the end the flight was scheduled the next morning, and it was breath-taking! A totally recommend experience:)

A brilliant experience not to be missed. You feel like you could touch the mountain tops. Lots of opportunities to take great photos of the glaciers, snow and mountains plus the beauty of the lakes. Good value and lovely pilot and staff who care that you get the best from your flight.
