People were pretty cold and unfriendly.

Invited to the concert and was very pleased I went. Amazing event well planned. Will go again.

came over with my buddy Dave over here. And crikey the service out there was bad. first off they wouldn't let me bring my machete onto the grounds and then called the police when I threatened to skin them alive, truly a horrible opening but I decided to continue and sit through the full tour and I have to say, no maccas, no dairy, and no durrys. How do these people survive everyday life without some durrys. I tried to sneak some in and they took them away. Anyway, after this horrible experience they offered to baptize me, free me from sin and all that. But honestly I was a bit tired and didn’t feel like a soak in the tub with god so I said I would come over when i'm all in the mood. All in all, wasn't too bad.

Visited with family a few years ago. Before we left, a couple of pastors pulled me aside and offered to baptize me. I thought what the hell" and went with them.After dissolving one of those communion wafers under my tongue

Looks like a great, wholesome place. I really enjoyed watching them work, sing and eat - and of course, worship - together instead of having their faces glued to screens It's got all the bugman Stuff-readers and redditors seething so they must be doing something right if the enemies of God react in such a way!

I haven't been here, but have watched the Amazon video once by myself and again with my wife and we both found it interesting. Living a life in service to each other for Gods glory is totally unheard of but is absolutely admirable! I may never get there to visit but I definitely respect what you are doing.. Especially considering that in the world today it is very self centered while Gloriavale seems to be the definition of selflessness.

Former members renew bid to have charity status of Gloriavale trust revokedThe charities regulator has again been asked to investigate the trust behind the reclusive Gloriavale Christian Community on the South Island's West Coast.The Gloriavale Leavers' Support Trust has written to Charities Services asking it to examine the Christian Church Community Trust as a result of allegations of abuse aired at an Employment Court hearing.The leavers' trust wants Gloriavale's trust stripped of its charitable status on the grounds it is oppressive and does not meet the required standards.Charities Services rejected the trust's request to investigate Gloriavale's charity status in 2020, following an earlier investigation in 2016.Leavers' trust manager Liz Gregory said the Employment Court evidence warranted another investigation.There was so much undisputed evidence in the employment hearing that Charities Services must be concerned
