The Nautilus Napier

Average stay. Most of the reviews promise more than what is delivered. Bedroom and bathroom were clean, but not great quality for price paid.

Our room had a great view from the balcony, of Marine Parade.The massive round spa bath in the room was great - relax and soak while watching a movie on the HUGE TV screen.BUT it was quite disturbing when we got into bed and started scratching a short time later. Pulled back the covers and there were tiny things smaller than the size of an ant scattered between the sheets, which thank goodness didn't move (not saying they weren't creepy crawlies, but not saying they were, either). Then further down the bed we saw a few long strands of hair. They were dark and my hair isn't, so was thinking that the cleaners didn't bother to change the previous guests sheets, or maybe their own hair dropped when they made the bed.The wall by the bed had a layer of dust - if there was a fan pointed at the wall, the dust would have become airborne.The next stay in Napier will be at one of the other motels along Marine Parade.

Police fighting girls banging on doors, first day, ordered big breakfast for 8 o'clock 8.20 no breakfast went asked where it was they said no chef . Rude hospitality refused to give me the main management companys email or contact

Stayed 3 nights.( Room 209)Good location with fantastic ocean views!Spoilt by very poor cleaning standards! Reported a blood smear that was on an internal door at Reception! This was not cleaned until day 3.Carpets not vacuumed for entire stay! Dust and dirt accumulation on skirting and cupboard surfaces!A USED face mask was discovered in a food cupboard along with sweet wrappers!!!The tired furniture and fittings, wall coverings etc are very much in need of a makeover!We have stayed at similar properties previously along the same road. Disappointed on this occasion by the standard and certainly not worth what we were charged.

We stayed here for for 3 nights, very accommodating to my mom who uses a walker and my son (4year old) TV has kids cartoons movies ect ect, couldn't fault service once, absolutely gorgeous place to stay ( we had no where else to go as we had to cut our holiday short from the coromandel) and they were so kind, and the food is amazing! Would definitely be back! Love the ocean right there too!.

Room was lovely, especially the spa bath.Great location too

Restaurant is yum! Mango lassi and Palak paneer. Lovely spices, thanks for the meal!

I've stayed here a couple of times now and I'll probably not stay anywhere else again. Friendly staff, great prices, really good rooms with great views and plenty of parking. Very clean and they even have mini bars. You'd be mad to stay anywhere else.

Excellent location and beautiful view. Walking distance to town and restaurants. Service was very welcoming and friendly. The room could use a refreah however, lots of chip and cracked tiles that make it look a bit grubby. Wifi was easily overloaded and didn't function well during peak hours.

Clean tidy and all amenities provided. Central location and friendly host. Stayed here several times Always food great also .
