These are by no means the best waterfalls we saw in New Zealand but were a nice little stop off on our way to Hokitika Gorge from Greymouth.

Nice picturois beauty sitting at a middle of flora. No network coverage in the area. A small waterfall. No public toilet facility available. A small scale waterfall. No public toilet available. Is located in an area where lot of cycling happens as it seemed. On the day I visited, it was the case.

Beautiful falls along the unpaved road at Lake Kaniere. Take the 2 minute walk from the road, it is worth it

Never blame the weather!We spent 3 days on the West Coast and it rained continuously all the time we were there. While some of the planned activities had to be cancelled, there was a sliver lining in the cloud, as they say.We got to see the amazing Dorothy Falls in their full glory. They are literally a minute’s walk from the car park, at the edge of Lake Kaniere.Have a look at the photos and videos for yourself!

Short drive up from Lake Kaniere breathtaking views along a windy gravel road open up to a short bridge and just over the bride is the car park for Dorothy Falls, easy 1min walk track to the river bed where you stand meters away from the powerful waterfall,,, magical colors from the brown water and lush green trees to the blue or Grey skies of the west coast... the smell the air the vibes are so clean here what Ana amazing place... definitely head out to Dorothy Falls.No toilets, no water taps but well worth the 20 min drive from town to get there!

This beautiful three tier waterfall can be seen from the road. But it is well worth stopping the car to wander through the bush to view it up close. Even though it was mid summer I wasn't tempted to swim in the delightful pool at the bottom. It was definitely deep enough, but icy cold.

A very enchanting place to visit with good views of falls and forest. Interesting rocks in riverbed.
