I broke down in a remote area south of Richmond earlier this year and after the Mercedes roadside car service proved most inadequate, I contacted Nicholls, who came most promptly with a courtesy car and saved me from a long, dark, cold night in the car.They diagnosed the fault in the steering and after initial costs to provide parts from Mercedes were very expensive found alternatives much less eye-wateringI strongly recommend their services

We are a couple of out of towners. We needed a pre-purchase inspection. Nicholls Autos managed to fit us in within 24 hrs - they gave us a written detailed report - Brett took the time to explain the contents of the report - then the very next day they managed to make time to rectify some of the issues found during the inspection. Great communications too - most grateful

Excellent service at very short notice. Transmission light flashing as we drove down the North Island to get the ferry to the South Island. Ferry was cancelled but managed to get on the 2am Monday morning which made things tight as we had a shuttle booked in Punakaiki for Tuesday morning to mountain bike the Paparoa track! We were outside Auto Shoppe Richmond as the doors opened only to receive the best ever service. Kim got our car fixed straightaway and we were on our way to Punakaiki. Even got the tent up before dark. Really got us out of a big problem. Great business. 100% recommend.

Easy, hassle free booking.Reasonably priced repairs - with a detailed print out of tasks completed and recommendations for things to be addressed.Would happily recommend! A big Thank You to Kim and his Team at Nicholls Auto for fixing our Richmond Community Patrol car which had a fuel leak, a massive job to do but his team done it so well. I broke down and was impressed by the fast assistance and straight forward advice. They had the necessary part ordered in and fitted the next business day at the quoted price (actually slightly under). A busy service centre but staff helpful and kind.
