The Larder
There is a reason (many in fact) that the Larder is rated one of the capital’s top restaurants. The food is superb, the service is fantastic and the special, regional themed pop-up events are always amazing. Over the course of many visits we’ve come to appreciate the warm welcome from owners Sarah and Jacob and the rest of the staff, which has cemented the Larder as our favourite place to dine. Definitely looking forward to the next event, in this case a Catalonia Christmas experience. Can’t wait!

It's an amazing breakfast place, just within working distance if you are visiting the Weta Cave. The food was delicious with beautiful plating. The staff there was really nice and helpful. We had a great time visiting. Definitely recommend.

Likely one of Wellingtons better seasonal food restaurants for fine dining. Have eaten here on five occassions and each time has been an excellent experience. The ambiance and staff are excellent and pricing reasonable for the food quality level

The Larder is delicious. I went around brunch time and this place appears to be very popular. We were seated almost right away and got our food pretty quick too.The blood pudding was delicious, especially with the bread and butter.

Excellent food! We were looking for a restaurant near Weta Workshop and this is a quick walk down the street. Everything on the menu looked so good that it was hard to choose. At 11:15, we had the choice between both breakfast and lunch. Everyone at our table loved what they ordered, from the veggie sandwiches to the eggs benedict to the crepes to the sweetcorn & fennel soup with prawns... Really delicious, high-quality food. Wish I lived closer so I could go back and try other things on the menu too.

We were in the area for the Weta tours and popped in to grab a quick bite prior, and it was so good we went back for lunch. I don’t have photos from brekkie because that was very quickly swallowed, but here were a few from lunch. Would’ve loved to go back for another meal if we could but too bad we were moving on today! Service was friendly and very helpful as well, though they do tend to get pretty crowded during peak times so you may have a bit of a wait. The only thing I didn’t quite like were that the coffees were a little on the sour side, but I just needed a bit of juice to jumpstart the morning engine so it was not trouble to me.

Stunning little cafe / eatery. We just had coffee and some treats from the display, but these were excellent, especially the cheese scones, which includes a perfectly tuned combination of blue cheese and pumpkin (?). Coffee was very good of course too.

Vibrant, well populated local restaurant with a good feel being inside an original house. Good dining inside and out on a good day. A good selection of very good food.

Great food, the chef is definitely a champion. But we found some things overpriced (especially the sides). Each time I come, I wonder how much I should pay to get a sincere smile from the owner (manager?), but fortunately, the rest of the staff is totally adorable. The place is extremely noisy at lunch, ok for business/friends lunch. Less for family, intimate meals. It's hard to hear each others.
