Delicious texan style bbq packed with flavour & well priced. The beef brisket & corn bread with jalapeno butter are a must & the chocolate brownie dessert, which is enough to share, is a parcel of superb-ness! The location looks out onto the water & the restaurant is relaxed / casual with good vibes. Will be back!

Just had the most outstanding meal I’ve had in a long time! If I could rate this more than 5 starts I would! Incredible food for exceptional prices.This place is sure to give chch bbq places a run for their money!The brisket and white bbq are a definite must try! Couldn’t recommend it enough! 12/10

We were excited to try this restaurant. After eating at many BBQ joints in America and a couple in NZ we thought yay close to home and BBQ what more could you want. Whilst the fit out was nice the food was a huge disappointment.I watched the pre cooked meat being unwrapped from foil packets and heated on a hot plate. The ribs were super salty and tough. Brisket was flavourless and dry and the chicken although nicely seasoned was dry as well. Sides were very nice and the platter was a generous amount for 2 adults. Staff were great but I’m sorry the meat which is the draw card for this type of place was utterly disappointing.

Went for dinner with a group – as the name implies; style is Southern US texan BBQ – think: meat upon meat. And the meat was sensational. I was sitting next an American ex-pat who deemed the ribs were amongst the best he had ever had. Meal options are 1, 2, or 3 meats plus two sides – and there is a veggie option. I had ribs and beef brisket with a side of fries and Mac & cheese. Two of us; meals were about $70 plus drinks. Smaller venue so I would definitely book ahead. Would definitely go back.

Mouthwatering food, I had the 2 meat option with the sausage and brisket with a side of fires and Mac cheese. A group of 15 attended for a friends birthday, well all had a great time, this place will be great spot in summer with their big outdoor space !

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Bison BBQ.The meat was succulent and tender with the ribs being a true highlight. The sides were tasty and the portion size generous. Excellent value for money, will definitely be back.

We loved it! The food, the staff, the location, Amazing!!We both got a 2 meat platter with different meats and sides each which gave us the ability to have a bit of everything. And well, everything was absolutely delicious! (that brisket and Mac n cheese though)We’ll be back for sure.
