Main Street Café
In town on business and stopped in for lunch. They were super busy but staff handled it brilliantly. Had a very yum Salmon, cream cheese and caper tart. Ginger crunch and latte were top notch too. After all these years driving past, I'll be stopping here in Waverley more often.

Stopped in for lunch. Good menu, standard sort of pricing. Quaint cafe with lovely court yard area out the back. Coffees were delicious, and chips particularly good, I think they were beer battered?Courtyard is dog friendly.Food all round delicious & staff very friendly. Will definitely return.

Bit over an hour out from New Plymouth Waverley and this cafe are the perfect place to take a break. The coffee is good and it comes with a Jaffa (the chocolate sort)! The carrot cake is shown. The cat is happy to share the couch.

Great brunch on the way to Wellington after the weekend hiking to the Pouakai Tarns - we were famished and the food was scrumptious, it’s a longtime since we had a large sausage with a big breakfast. These women can cook!

We were recommended by friends to visit the Main Street Cafe on our way back to Wellington from New Plymouth. I had a pie and my wife had a sandwich. The pie I think had been microwaved as some of the pastry was hard on the bottom of the pie. But it tasted great, and the report from my wife on her sandwich was very good. But unfortunately my flat white was bitter and most likely the milk or the coffee had a burnt and bitter taste. Not great. Hence the 4 stars only review. But the atmosphere here was very local, with people chatting and the staff talking lots with people in the cafe. Nothing flash here, but nice buzzy atmosphere.

I really enjoyed the coffee - awesome smooth flavour and just the right amount of foam on top. Came with a jaffa lolly on the side. Tasty choc-chip cookie for $1. Friendly smiling staff. Comfy couch to sink into... the resident cat thought so too. Toy animal table marker made me smile. Serviettes and cutlery on the table to hand. Off-street parking beside the cafe. Outdoor table in the shade.

Situated on the Main Street of Waverley, this was a very busy Cafe. The food selection available was reasonable and what we chose was very nice. The staff were very pleasant and hospitable.
