Hedgehog House Early Learning Centre

Was great for our first daughter. She loved the teachers and made really good friends. Her little sister will start there soon.

Our son has just graduated from Hedgehog House having attended full-time for the previous three years. I happy to say that the change in ownership has only enriched our son's experience of ECE. He developed strong bonds with the teachers and peers during his three years that will no doubt stand the test of time and separation. If you are considering putting your child in daycare, Hedgehog House is definitely worth visiting. The role is small and being in a 'household environment' it is familiar and safe for little ones to grow, explore and become confident little people.

The team at Hedgehog House looked after our little man for a few months when we moved back to Auckland and he was soon to start school. I’m most grateful for their willingness to bring him in, even for a short amount of time. The centre is diverse and relaxed, and we valued this a lot. They focus on various cultural activities, that we enjoyed our son getting involved with. It’s a comfortable centre, the kids are really happy there and our son made awesome little friends, who he will also go to school with. Thank you lovely Hedgehog House team. You made a positive difference to our family’s transition back to Auckland.

If you are looking for a centre with caring, experienced and enthusiastic teachers who really understand what makes pre-schoolers tick, then this is the place to send your child(ren). Just awesome.

We highly recommend Hedgehog House. Our son started at the age of 2 and carried on through to 5. He was always a bit shy, but the staff there developed strong and trusting relationships with him, always working at his pace. He just loved it there and was happy to go everyday. It has been hard to say goodbye to start school!
