Ruakaka Beach Holiday Park
This place is a solid 4 out of 5. I would give it 4.5 if I could. There were a few things that let it down. Mainly in the facilities area, toilets had no hand drying option....showers no dry area to change in. Kitchen was mostly good except the zip boiler had a dodgy tap. Small things that could be fixed. I really liked the fact that, even though they were booked out, they did not squeeze lots of camp sites together..they leave an area in the middle for people to use...thumbs up to that.

Great location with amazing views. Ideal for families with children. It's literally the biggest campsite we've been to but even full it didn't feel crowded. All facilities are clean and the staff is really helpful. We've been notified with updates and news before and during the stay. We'll definitely go again!

Nothing but great memories.. 23 of us accommodated no problem. Views were great! Location to beach amazing. Service great. Definitely go back to one of the best!!

Your office staff member was rude and unwelcoming, launching straight into me regarding me not wearing a wristband (it was in my hand, as I was on my way to a wedding). Which is fine - its your camp, and your rules. But if you want to be such a stickler for rules, then you better make sure you follow the laws - which you're not.If you're going to get the rulebook out with your customers, make sure it's a level playing field and you're following the laws you have to abide by.

The sites and nice and clean. Aged facilities however very well looked after. Nice location.Must warn drivers about Karen's about the place. Had an extremely unpleasant encounter with an entitled camper and friends accusing us of speeding on-site. Regardless of what the vehicle instrumentation was saying.

Ruakaka Beach Holiday Park
We needed somewhere to stay that was cheap and functional, while we attended a big family get-together. Ruakaka Beach Holiday Park provided exactly that! Clean, comfortable, affordable cabins with all amenities within a 60 second walk. Close to the beach and shops, we had a swim and an ice cream and got ready to head out for dinner. An awesome place to stay and at a very reasonable budget.

Ruakaka Beach Holiday Park
Right from the informative reception lady to the fabulous view of Bream Head, this park was a real gem. Good clean facilities, plenty of space and easy access to the beach. Great to see the sun rise from the ocean.

Very well maintained site. All facilities are clean and tidy. Showers are spacious and last 5 minutes. The camp site is extremely spacious and well run. The only downside is the noise of Highway 1 in the morning rush-hour. There are limited walks once you have walked around the bay and surf area.

Not too far from this stunning beach!We stayed two nights in a cabin which was perfect for a couple and child.The room had a bunk double bed/single on top aswel as a seperate double bed.Small in door table or outdoor picnic table for meal times.Communal kitchen and toilet/showers close by.Room has a fridge, toaster and kettle.Awesome playground for kids and bbq area on-site too

Ruakaka Beach Holiday Park
Great location and facilities. We stayed 2 nights in a tent and had a great time here. Right by the shallow estuary and a short walk to the beach, great location just 10 minutes north of Waipu. Nice playground and lots of toilet blocks, never had to wait. Showers were OK but could do with an upgrade. Well organised check in and kept us informed with TXT messages, which was appreciated. We'll be back :)
