Great atmosphere, dishware, and friendly staff! The chicken katsu bento bowl was okay. Chicken was crispy but a little overcooked, rice was softer than I'd like, and the portion was too small for me.The sparking jelly sake yuzo was quite the experience and I enjoyed it! There was more jelly than I expected. I think that was a good thing.

Got the tuna and salmon poke bowl. And vegan agedashi tofu. I’ll probably go all salmon the next time for the bowl. Or try the tuna on sushi.

Been going here regularly for 3+ years. Used to be good value - not any more unfortunately. Tried to provide feedback directly but that was not welcome. Goes without saying that businesses should listen to feedback from their customers to understand what's going well and what could be done differently. Wish I hadn't bothered now - ruined my lunch break!

I always go here for lunch when I have day off or on Thursday/ Friday evening after work for their $20 dinner + drink deal. Simply the best Japanese restaurant in Wellington.
