i had staff dinner here today andwe loved it.flavour is decent, and each portion is enough to share for 7 people.we ordered 8 dishes for 7 people andit was enough for all of us.they have main branch in Rotorua, andit is also a must try chinese restaurantwell done

Yum Cha - the authentic Canton cuisine. Another great discovery.My wife had a short conference at Hamilton, and we decided to have a date. It has been a long time since I brought her for a good authentic Chinese cuisin, and both of us loved Dim Sum (点心) a touch of heart and I want to touch her heart through her mouth.I explored the night before and found this place Regal Chinese Restaurant (富豪- literally means rich man) to Yum Cha (饮茶 - drink tea) Of course, we need delicious Dim Sum to go with the tea. The reviews were not outstanding, but when we were welcomed by friendly waitresses and the ambience was very Cheena, we felt at home right away. In fact, the very success of a Chinese restaurant is to have a good chef. And I found out that he is from Canton. Canton cuisine is, to me, one of the most meticulous and uncompromising cuisines. That's why it is so delicious.The menu has so many items and we picked a few that we both like. E.g. Phoenix Crawl, (百合酱凤爪) Siew Mai, (烧卖) Chee Cheong Fun or Fun Cheong,(鲜虾肠粉) Salted Water Dumplings, (咸水角) and Lo Mai Gai (瑶柱糯米鸡)Our favourite of the day is really the Chee Cheong Fun or Fun Cheong,(鲜虾肠粉) and Siew Mai, (烧卖). The Fun Cheong is wrap with a steamed skin, soft and flavourful sauce. But when we took the first bite... my goodness, there is another layer of skin with is deep fried and crispy. Amazing skin within a skin. What a gastronomical pleasure when the softness and crunch mixed in union, it is unprecedented!Then when I took my first bite at the the Siew Mai, my literal expression is... woah! The Prawn is very fresh and the Pork is tender. A wonderful Q feeling when chewing the Siew Mai.This is definitely a destination for my family, friends, and for anyone who will visit us in NZ. They know who they are.

Best Chinese restaurant in Hamilton. Just opened recently and place is already packed on peak hours. Delicious food and heaps of small orders to choose from. Plenty of staff around so queue times are usually short, and food carts cut the wait times as well. Highly recommended

Very nice dinner we had, everything we had was yum! the deep dried dumplings are a must have, for under $100 we had 4 starters and two mains and a drink each. Will be back for sure. Massive portions too. One main would easily go between two persons

Probably the best dim sum/yum char in Hamilton. Most of the dishes are well above average in quality. Pricing seems reasonable. Service is relatively quick. Has become quite popular since they've started operating in Hamilton. While not the best you will have, it's quite good for Hamilton standards.

What a wonderful meal we had 4 Mains between 4 adults and a kid including a crayfish main an assortment of yumcha absolutely fantastic beautifully cooked non greasy can't say enough of how good... highly recommendService was great ...we'll be going back.

Good if you want FOOD POISONING, spent nearly $600 just to be given off chicken. When asked to refund the 1 dish they refused and started being rude. Our family will never return and I hope the department of health & safety checks them out.#Foodpoisoningcentre.

We were over charged for food they brought out that we didn't order and sent back we were also charged for food we had ordered that they had ran out off so we didn't even get it. The waiters were trying to take our orders the second we sat down and were forceful about us ordering. The trolly came up to us and was trying to rush us to take things. We were asking about unpriced items on the menu and they were extremely vague about prices and we had to ask multiple times for the set price. We had to ask for our own water and had to find the self-service sauces ourselves because we were not told. Over all the experience was a huge disappointment for us and at a price of $130. We won't be back and I would invite others to find another Chinese restaurant. The food and service need alot of work.

Excellent service and highly recommended! Called to order before opening time, speak politely and took my order. When i arrived, i asked to pay for a takeaway chinese tea to go with my dim sum, the lady gave a big cup of tea for free and said, you got to enjoy your dim sum with the tea
