Kmart Hamilton

Real tough competitor of warehouse! Whenever I go inside Kmart I feel they have everything just like warehouse except some plants, toolings, and big furniture items. It has good quality clothing and various household items. For kids they have plenty of toys including drones. Bicycle lovers can grab the quality bicycles from here. Like warehouse living & co brand, these guys have home &co which is quite good for daily use.

This is the third time I’ve been here this week and every single time the makeup section is out of EVERYTHING and looks like an absolute garbage dump. Items littering the bottom of the shelves and floor. Every time I have checked online and the website says “in stock”… BS. I’ve come here for the same products many times the past few months and have had to resort to going elsewhere or ordering online. Each time I come in I never see more than one staff member frantically running around, so I do not blame the staff. You need to hire more staff urgently. In the past I always had great experiences here but it’s gone so downhill

staff were rude and unhelpful, 2 were at the door doing receipt policing and could only find one other guy at the checkouts which were full. get some more staff the place is a horrible mess, so many opened and stolen packages many items out of stock that aren’t updated online. yea not coming back 1/10

went to Kmart today 10/04/2023 around 12:30pm, no staff on floor except one at entrance to scan receipts and one at the checkouts, went to makeup/beauty aisle and everything was out of stock, every single time I come to this Kmart they don’t bother to stock things up as I guess it gets stolen, they had big trolleys with boxes everywhere in the way, and all shoes/ toys on the floor. If your not going to stock the makeup (especially E.L.F makeup) why bother selling it in store??

One of the worst Kmart in nz. Staff (particularly a senior lady staff) pretended not to see and hear when customers needed help. Reluctantly moved her body and walked just 1 metre distance to assist, what kinda great customer service. If you don’t want the job, there will be people willing to work harder than you. Will file a formal complaint to the management.

Big, cheap, slightly depressing. Only self-service checkouts operating when I visited, I'm not even sure whether they have checkouts with real people. Staff were few and far between. Overall I think I prefer to get my cheap stuff from The Warehouse.

Brilliant value, great selection in most departments, but we always end up spending more than planned as there ate so many great household items and clothing goodies to buy. Parking can be a bit tight here if the store is really busy but we always find a space. Tried 'click and collect' recently and it worked a treat.

The only reason why I'm giving this a 5 star is because I received such amazing customer service. I did a click and collect and then I got an email saying it was ready for pick up. I then proceed to go pick up my items and had only received 3 of my 8 items that I had ordered. I didn't get a text or a email stating that my other items were not available or nor was I getting a refund. Mind you on their website it says that all items that I had ordered was in stock. I am infuriated as if I had known that I was only going to get 3 of my 8 items I would have purchased my items else where. An elderly gentlemen who goes by the name Dave went above and beyond with his customer service and made me feel better about the whole situation. I would go into details but I don't think my words could do his amazing customer service any justice. All I have to say is thank you to Dave who helped defuse a stressful situation and deliver exceptional service at the same time. I think Kmart need more people like you. You are awesome.
