Theatre Royal Nelson
The Theatre Royal is a much-loved colonial treasure. Friendly volunteer ushers, great acoustics and some wonderful shows. I always enjoy my visits.

This little theatre acts as a venue for both locally produced shows and visiting singers like Mel Parsons, the Hot Potato Band and Tutus on Tour. The staff are helpful, there is a bar and there is plenty of parking nearby.

Took the granddaughter to see Cinderella- the ballet. It was her first ballet show.For a small theatre, the event was managed very well, the show was brilliantly executed, and sets were skilfully done. The dancers were brilliant and the stealing the show" award must go to the two step sisters! They did a great job

We really enjoyed Into the Woods today performed by Nelson Youth Theatre. The theatre is always exciting and fun for our family to visit. The ushers are super friendly and helpful. And the show today was funny with a creative twist on the classic children's stories. We all loved it!!!

This is the diamond in the Crown of Nelson's entertainment world. This is a restored Victorian relic given up for dead in 2005 but rescued and lovingly restored.

Fantastic venue, the people were very helpful, everything was well labelled and flowed well. Venue was gorgeous and had amazing acoustics
