High Country Horses
My dad and I had an incredible time on this 2.5 hr trail ride. Our guide Sean had the best LOTR facts, was patient, and a great instructor. My dad and I were the only ones on this ride which made it even more special. The views were spectacular and the horses were sweet and well behaved. Memories for a lifetime! Would come back again.

Gabbi was our guide and she was sooooo AMAZING! The horses were just beautifully behaved, scenery was out of this world stunning and the whole overnight experience was fantastic !!

Spectacular experience. Highlight of my trip to the area. Guides were welcoming and knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Really magical seeing lotr scenery and learning about the topography of the area.Leave plenty of time if traveling from Queenstown in Winter months - need to drive slower due to black ice on roads and I was only just on time.

2hrs and half horse riding in wild was really special. I did enjoy it. But this tour need to give us more details for safety. In our group some women fell down. It could be quite dangerous.

Incredible place. I did the full day ride and absolutely loved it. The horses were all forward and great to ride - not for beginners as stated on the ride description. Thank you to Tyla and Patty and the wonderful Lonestar!

We had the ride of our life with Paddy/Pati (?) hosting us today on the ‘experienced ride’.Was such a perfect day, perfect well mannered horses, fantastic guide… the weather even played ball and stayed dry for us. Was amazed at the capability of the horses and the scenery was truely out of this world.Will never forget today thank you Paddy/Pati for our well guided and welcoming adventure, you were the perfect host!

I would highly recommend this place for horse back riding experience. The lead was very professional and ensured that all of us felt comfortable and safe during the ride. Though I was quite terrified, I did enjoy the 2.5 hour ride!
