I went here yesterday and had a look at some of the cabins. And friendly staff, If youre in mokau definitely drop in here for a night.I will be back!Edit: I loved it. Great camping feel to it

25th Feb 2023... Camped down the road.. Called in for lunch 5 stars as the food was so yummy... I had a chicken with brie bacon chicken and cranberry sauce... Mouth watering.. Whitebait laden omelets and big wedges and sour cream... No dinner tonight as so filling... Lovely service as well... So recommend... Enjoy

Stayed behind the Inn at the camp ground and feasted on their legendary whitebait fritters the size of dinner plates. Altogether an excellent quiet 2 days away from home relaxing

No whitebait but great service. We waited to enjoy breakfast here on the drive out of New Plymouth on the promise of a whitebait menu. There is currently no whitebait. But the service was still awesome.

What a dump . We stopped for one night on 24 Feb We had a basic 2 bed cabin with use of the communal facilities . The room was dirty , strange smell , ripped or no curtains unless you class cobwebs as curtains . Window latches broken The interior of the fridge was a rusty brown colour. The bed bloody uncomfortable. The shower and toilet facilities were very basic with broken taps etc . Honestly unless you’re in a caravan or camper van don’t stop here . It doesn’t deserve your moneyThe only positive I can mention is the polite friendly staff in the cafe that checked us and the nice fish and chips

Stopped in for lunch on way home from New Plymouth. Fresh venison burgers, fresh fish burger & nice chips. A little expensive but when yummy & nice staff don't mind.

Whenever we go to Hamilton or anywhere up North we make a point of stopping in at the Whitebait Inn cos of it's meals and service so we called in on our way home to New Plymouth and ordered something to eat, the lady who served me was nice but the cooking was shocking, if we didn't pay what we did for it we would have walked out and left it, no presentation to your food, just dumped on the plate I guess that's just the attitude of you as a cook, Whitetail Inn needs to pick up there customer skills and definitely the cooking, we will never call in again and we will be telling our family and friend's about you, not happy customers!!! We gave you a rating of 1 because we liked the foxton fizzy...1st/4/23
