Salt Bar & Restaurant
Stopped into Salt this morning for a late breakfast and coffee. Staff were real friendly and service was quick. Great value for a couple of eggs on toast and a coffee. Plus it was delicious. Some of the other options looked beautiful too but just wanted something simple today. Great to sit outside in the sun this morning too.

Excellent food, terrible service. Forgot our drinks, meal was late coming and then no offer of deserts menu after waiting a long time while they totally ignored us. So we left. Even had to wait, then find someone so we could pay the bill. Won't be going back.

Went for an early dinner and the karaage burger was great ! Because we went at 4:30 they only had the appetizer and burger menu which was fine with us.

Came for the burgers after someone on Reddit mentioned they're way better than Good Good.They are, but they are pretty inconsistent.We've eaten in a couple of times, both times getting the fried chicken and pork belly burgers. The first time my chicken burger was quite good, but the other fillings just popped out with way too much sauce. The second time I got the pork belly and the portions used were pathetic (it was nearly all bun and sauce), while the chicken burger my wife got was amazing compared to the previous visit.The loaded fries are great. The customer service is a bit cold and mostly kids who seem a bit bothered by having to talk to someone.Overall I'd go back again, but my expectations would be a bit lowered which is a shame considering the hefty price.

Salt bar very popular and busy cafe for snacks and lunches.Went for a muffin and a coffee. Staff were pleasant and friendly when attending to our needs. Baking was nice and fresh and we enjoyed our time there.Update 23/ 6/ 23.Went for a meal and I can say the service was fantastic. Small restaurant child friendly. Chicken salt plate was nice.. coated chicken pieces with rice coleslaw and salad. Quality and quality good. Childs burger not much different to adults burger. Childs menu good value and quite large.

Went to the Salt Bar & Restaurant this mōrena for breakfast. Loved the place, the wood paneling, the atmosphere, the kai, the kāwhe the staff. Everything was perfect. Ngā mihi team ❤

Nice,quiet cafe to meet up with friends to have a coffee ☕️ and there cheese rolls are quite nice too go with your coffee,the staff are very polite and professional in the way they work and serve you as well as no hassle for you to leave,I’d definitely recommend it as a place to go to for a coffee and meeting with friends or business associates, it’s definitely worth a visit to enjoy it’s comfortable atmosphere and surroundings as it’s close to the views of the ST Clair esplanade which on a nice day is very pleasant.

A lovely salmon eggs bennie at a fair price. I'd definitely have this dish again. I saw a French toast go past to another customer and that looked good too. Friendly staff with a nice outlook where you can watch Dunedin's finest drivers navigate a simple roundabout. Entertainment, good food and service. Worth a try particularly if you can find a time when it's not too busy.
