Sometimes children play in the fountain so be prepared with extra clothes when bringing your own child who loves playing in the water!

The Mission Bay Fountain
We come here often for a swim at the beach. It's a lovely beach with a playground close by for the little ones. Cafe's across the street for a coffee or a feed are great and some weekends there's a market on. The fountain is beautiful when it's on. Unfortunately it's not on at the moment with water shortages but that's neither here nor there. Try it out for yourself. It can get crowded though so be prepared.

Beautiful spot with good view to Rangitoto island, nice walking track along the beach. Good shops and coffees just cross the road (November 2020)

The Mission Bay Fountain
It’s as a fountain should be. So mesmerising to sit and watch. Fountain shoots high and is a great backdrop in pictures with the beach beyond. Footpath could be less muddy but with constant foot traffic, it is to be expected. The actual fountain was people-less, at the time so I could see the bottom and it had random debris from nature. Also water was clear and not murky. If we had change of clothes, probably would’ve splashed around-not gonna lie lolAll in all, a huge massive fountain that you don’t see everywhere, right in the heart of Mission Bay!

Beautiful place for a family day out with the kids, or to get some fresh air. Lots of eateries along the strip across the road however a little on the expensive side(1 Fish & Small Chips was $10) there's also a children playground and a kite stand close by. Parking is available but fills quickly.

The Mission Bay Fountain
Fantastic spray, great place for the kids to run around. Very clean, you can tell this is a well cared for water feature. Great views of mission bay and good that it is centrally located to Star Bucks mission bay. -1 star for the fact this is a non-swimming water feature, I think it would be a lovely place to dip your toes in the summer time (or a sunny winters day!)

Lovely spot by the beach. Plenty of grass to hang out and throw a rugby ball around or play spikeball. Great place to come with friends
