Amazing spot. Book the hit in advance to stay the night or take a water taxi or hike for the day. Check out the seals living just past the ruins of the old dock.

The Cape Brett Light House located at the end of one of the best hike in New Zealand.(Cape Brett track)very steep and slippery around this area,must have look after own safety.and there is a hut which we booked through the online to stay overnight.sun set is so amazing.we can reach to this spot by water taxis or we can hike through the land.

A tramp to remember! Beautiful views @ Cape Brett and throughout the tramp in. You need a good level of fitness and strength to carry in a med weight pack. Take water and electrolytes (powder to add or power aide) esp if tramping in the summer months. Autumn would be an ideal season to do the tramp. Water taxi out from Deep water cove is a good idea.

A beautiful location which is well worth the hike to get there. We started from Deep Water Cove and it took us 1hr 40min to the lighthouse. It was the same time to get back to the cove. The DoC sign had the walk as 2.5hr each way.

Lovely walk to lighthouse from the car park. Easy to do with children (6 and 7). Lots of information points which my children found interesting.Toilets are clean and well maintained.Walk back is uphill.

Amazzzing remote location and hut. Better if you do the long hike to get here. Stunning views and you can have a swim at the end. It’s a good 8hr walk from Rawhiti. Hard hike but so worth it. Easy to arrange a water taxi return if you fancy it
