This is not a review of this branch of New Zealand Couriers, but a review of the company itself.If you're a new business looking to ship across the country or internationally, steer well clear of these guys.In excess of a year ago I was using this company to ship parcels, both within NZ and outside of it.I did end up switching as an assortment of tracked international parcels never made it to their destination, and whilst the refund process was ridiculous and extensive, I did, eventually, months and many emails later, get reimbursed.My issue with this company comes recently.A parcel I sent in excess of a year ago, was recently returned to me as undeliverable.This was accompanied with a bill of $40, which cost more than the initial shipping cost, and likely the item itself.When queried why I was being invoiced for the return of a parcel, that I had paid them to ship, they simply stated This is a return charge on an item that was returned back to nz via postal service."To bill me in an attempt to ship the item to the correct person

Don't use this service if you want to save yourself time and sanity. Only to courier from Wellington to Lower Hutt, 6 working days in and no sign of showing up. In the tracking it never leave the depot. I had to call to follow up yo find outthat the package was lost and they had to get an investigation team to find it. This is rediculous. Customer service who picked up my phone said they would call me back but nothing. I had to go to pick up myself from the depot just to get the parcel.

I know you guys are short of drivers, and the independent contractors who work for you are run off their feet, trying to make a living.How about your management sort your act out?NZC used to be the best courier company. That was a very long time ago.If your contact center staff would give resi customers a realistic expectation of when goods will be picked up maybe? That would be good.I phoned on Tuesday, booked a prepaid pickup for Wednesday and ended up taking the parcel to the Marine Parade depot myself on Thursday.I know several independent contractors, and they tell me your management are hopeless.

Not getting a service is becoming the norm rather than the exception. 3 weeks after pick up and still no parcel, follow ups only getting you false promises. All my other parcels from other couriers are getting delivered, so it must be a NZ Courier issue rather than the famous covid excuse.

Absolute joke that the branch shuts down for an hour right in the middle of the day. How hard is it to have 1 person cover the front desk while someone goes to lunch.

I had placed an order for perishable goods from out of region. Got a phone call from the lovely lady from NZ Couriers the next morning to tell me I can pick my order up at anytime. She went out of her way and stayed behind after closing hours to wait for me to pick up my order. I was 30 mins late. Thank you for going above and beyond lovely lady

If I could give zero stars I would. Apparently our parcel was delivered to our secure" and locked mailbox last Wednesday. But it must be invisible because it's not there. Apparently now our courier is isolating and cant be called to check on the delivery details. Seems strange that my package was RATs tests and now hes sick. Seems he may have thought they would be useful. You pay for a service which they dont provide and then they dont want to sort it.out. REALLY POOR FORM NZ COURIERS!!"

We received a you missed a delivery" card today. The code on the delivery card has "already been used" and can't be entered on the website for tracking. Calling their phone line to enquire

For health & safety reasons NZ Couriers have a policy of not delivering past a closed gate. As I have no idea when they're about to deliver, this means they never deliver to my door, even when I'm home. I bulk buy and get a lot of deliveries and they're the only company to do this. I'm forced to collect some pretty heavy parcels myself from a drop-off point during narrow business hours. Be aware that if you use NZ Couriers you're paying for half a service for many of your customers.
