Taxis Gold & Black

Booked a taxi early morning and they showed up quickly which was lovely. The drive was 7 minutes long and the driver charged me $45! When I questioned him about the charges all he said was “that’s how much it costs.” There was no visible meter running either. I was in a hurry so just paid but then I emailed the company asking about a breakdown of the cost and I was told they would get back to me but I haven’t heard and it’s been over a month. Guttered that the price was a let down because the driver was nice enough and as I said, they arrived quickly.

Rung this company regards one of their taxi drivers running a red light. The guy was very rude and wasnt interested. Next time? I ring *555 and you will get a call from the police.

Always been very reliable for me

We were staying in PN, and the first company we rang was rude and not available, so next was these guys. They were prompt, and very easy to deal with. The drivers were friendly and accommodating. The price was really reasonable, well we thought so. Will be happy to use again, if we are back in the area.

Called for an airport pickup at 5.30am, said they had no drivers in that area. Not a delay, or we are busy, simply no drivers. Its Palmerston North ffs. Why answer your phone?

Ah so disappointed in these guys. Normally this is my go to taxi co. Called 6 hours prior my pick up to book for a ride but was told there was nothing available. The operator didn't give me any other options. So I asked if a taxi is available around that time (before or after) and was told that there is availability 20 min prior to my pick up time to which I have agreed. Got a call right on time when I was supposed to be picked up with news that the taxi went walk abouts outside the city parameters. Go figure. They should train their taxis better imo. Must have run away from home. Anyway was told they could get another taxi after 20 min. I couldn't wait longer than 20 min as had a flight. Installed uber nothing available. Busy or lazy or sleeping Palmy drivers who knows. Maybe covid hit them hard and something happened. Remembered the other taxi company, called them and they arrived within minutes!.

Didn't even answer theirphone at all.. did not use them at all..

They gave great service. Will use them from now on
