Acland Falls
Lots of stairs. No dogs. Short walk: turn right at junction. Left takes you to car park further down. Waterfall is gorgeous.

We did this track based on the reviews but the 4,7 is really overrated. The path is slippery and not pleasant to walk. The waterfall is overgrown by trees. The big tree is a better alternative in this area.

Nice walk to the falls, a bit of a climb and it can be a wee bit muddy, so wear good shoes.

A challenging ascent requiring reasonable level of fitness. We enjoyed the achievement. The falls are high but not dramatic. A very good round trip.

Very nice hike. You can either start at the parking or near the campground. Eitherway it's up! From the campground it's a slightly shorter and easier walk. So you can do a loop or go there and back same way.Very nice area and vegetation during the hike. Also not many people in contrast to some other parts of NZ. We loved it.This hike it also short but more difficult then the big tree wall and sometimes slippery

Acland Falls
This was an attractive walk through forest to a small woodland waterfall. It was quite steep on a well made track with lots of steps. You can make it into a round trip by walking out to the road end and walking back along the road for 1 km. The best bit is the forest.

Great little hike. Very aesthetic waterfall.Park closest on the road for a ~30min return trip.Option to park near Big Tree car park to make it a long hike, and/or a loop.Waterfall is small and cute. Interesting way the water has fallen and carved into the rock.
