The Crow Tavern
The owner let us stay on the parking lot with our campervan for free, absolute gem of a human being. The steak and beer were also great for a very low price. Perfect Spot if you need to catch a ferry the next day, highly recommended!

Awesome decor in the bathrooms. Would've given 5 stars but didn't really fancy any of the beers on tap

Very friendly and accommodating staff. We had a meal at the restaurant and the fish was perfectly cooked (gurnard) and the salad (served in a separate bowl) was very refreshing. Would definitely go back there again

Pleasant pub but busy with locals and regulars. Not unfriendly but also not entirely welcoming of visitors…. or that’s how it felt to us …for the one visit we made.

We found the Crow Tavern in Picton while travelling NZ in a motorhome using wikicamps. If you ask, the owner may allow a self-contained motorhome to use the carpark if you come in for a meal or a drink or two. We did just that. They also have a separate menu to cater for coeliac. We met George the owner and publican while ordering our meals. We had a lovely chat, and he went through the hotels history with us. The walls are adourned with historic photos and documents detailing all the known history right back to the beginnings. The pub toilets are the cleanest toilets we've come across in NZ.Thankyou George for your motorhome hospitality. A big two thumbs up from both of us.

Asked the bartender if he had any zero alcohol beer and he said they don’t really cater for non drinkers? Good luck designated drivers. Ordered the chicken cordon Bleu with salad, don’t think they cater for people with taste buds either it was pretty average and obviously a packet job which I saw at a BP later on. Except the BP had fresh salad.

We stayed in our self contained campervan for the night and went to the Crow Tavern for drinks, food and luckily enough being a Saturday night joined in the Karaoke with the lovely friendly locals. Had a happy night, staff were super friendly, locals too, and the King Prawns were to die for. Clean premises and a nice quiet night in the campervan. Would suggest white roadmarking where overnighters can park their vehicles. Would definitely stay again to catch the morning ferry.

George and his crew are fantastic hosts. He is happy for motor homes to stay and allowed us to use washing machine and dryer! The pub is immaculate and the food excellent. One of the biggest thrills was checking out the amazing toilets. Worth going for that as well
