Speight's Ale House
Had the lamb salad. The lamb was succulent. There was a good variety of greens and vegetables in the salad part. As a group of 6 people, I said on arrival that we needed to leave in a hour, the meals arrived quickly and we had time to spare. Outside dining available. Toilets. Limited free parking, plenty of street parking.

Superb dining experience. Cocktails and wines were delicious. Food .... was perfect. Lamb shanks melted in mouth and scoffed down.Chicken parcels were creamy and flavourful. Pasta perfect and mums lamb salad was perfect. All large servings! Highly recommend dining here. The staff and atmosphere of Speights Ale House Timaru give diners a fantastic experience every single time.

absolutely amazing customer service from kelly and mark, lovely food and drinks, haven’t been tipsy in a while but im glad it was in this atmosphere. fast paced, smiled all around. 10/10 would recommend, will definitely be back:)

Good selection of beer on tap (including Panhead and Emerson) food was tasty, great sized portions for the price, pretty cool building. Loaded fries were different then the usual but tasty as! Recommended.

Not ideal.Lovely building, good looking menu, some obvious missing items.BUT the entire place from restaurant to toilets was tired, paint peeling, and dirty. The fabric on the chairs and booth ripped, and stained and the dirt in the corners and dust on surfaces so very noticeable.So many people visiting, but frankly it's dangerous.I don't have a grudge but do appreciate any place making a simple effort to clean.

Fantastic out of this world dining experience with great fast paced friendly staff members. Excellent food the Southern chook burger took away the award with best burger I have ever eaten in my life!!!

Speight's Ale House
Tuesday 4th July.Was there as a part of a group of dining for the evening.Young lady serving us did very well and cannot be faulted.I had just the seafood chowder which was ok. Not exceptional but satisfactory.Reasonable value for money.I have no complaints about the place and would be happy to return again in the future.
