Korokoro Dam
What an absolutely amazing and beautiful place to walk. Our young family and fur baby loved it.We did the 1 hour loop through the korokoro dam, we will definitely be back again soon.

Korokoro Dam
So beautiful and peaceful. The walk is very steep but it's fun. The road trip from Wellington there is also so beautiful

Beautiful native bush with easy access to the dam. Signage can be a bit confusing but part of the fun is getting away from the city and having to navigate yourself with what’s provided. Barely any phone signal but pack a picnic and relax at the top of the dam. There’s also a whole bunch of wild blackberries near the car park which was a fun discovery at the end of our walk.

Korokoro Dam
Lovely setting and a tidy little loop walk, taking in a small dam and a waterfall.Unfortunately, when we went, the loop track is restricted due to track maintenance. We walked course-clockwise to the dam and back, which was still lovely.

Beautiful walk. 8km return. Took us 1hr to get to the Dam. Definitely worth it. Good grade for running from the Cornish Street Parking. Easy terrain and very gradual grade. Easy hike or run.

Korokoro Dam
Hiked from Cornish St up to Korokoro Dam. Really easy-going alongside the stream for the first 3km, plenty of blackberry bushes to snack at near the path. I took a left at Korokoro Forks which took me up a rugged, steep tramping track past Baked Beans Bend - with a heavy pack and hot weather this was tough going. I hung a right down an unmaintained track to take me directly to the dam, it was really rooty and steep and felt more like I was out in the Tararuas! Serene picnic by the dam then headed down the conventional way back to Cornish St. 3 hour round trip. Can't wait to explore more of the Belmont Regional Park now.

A good place to visit. Can just chill by the dam and falls go for run or walk. I went all the way up the trig, which is a good challenge. Worth the visit
