Stop there when I can, it's a well deserved break from driving. Get to enjoy a coffee and gaze at the selection of beautiful fresh food to choose from. My eyes are bigger than my belly, lol. A great experience

Awesome pies, best I’ve had for ages. I couldn’t find the bin for my bag, so I put it in my car. A woman came out of the store and said she saw me looking for a bin. She took the bag for me. That’s great service. I used to stop in Wellsford on my way up North. This will be my stop from now on.

Rude staff. Treated us like an inconvenience as we entered just after they opened for the day. I said good morning and was greeted with a blank stare and silence from both staff. Not nice staff. Food and coffee was average. Probably tainted with the mood of the staff. If I was the owner of this place I would seriously consider training staff on how to treat customers who bring money to the business. This happened a year ago and have only gotten around to posting as spoke recently to a number of people who had similar experiences here, so thought I should share.

Good pies, good coffee, great muffins (large) and of course all the treats. Everything is a decent size too so don't need much. This place is more expensive than your average bakery but worth it in my opinion as it tastes amazing. Staff are always lovely too, you can also purchase cold drinks and ice cream here too

Very nice pies, but priced at Auckland gourmet level rather than northland tradie level ...and that alone makes me choose this bakery very rarely on my regular trips between whangarei and Auckland. The pies you can get at Richoux (Ellerslie) or The Pie Shop (Kumeu) are superlative, running rings around these pies for similar prices. Three stars for quality/value but on this occasion they really annoyed me, as heading north this afternoon I checked they were still open on Google maps, only to arrive and find a sign that La Nonna is closed for an entire month for annual holidays. I understand hospitality businesses have a hard time making time for a break, but because the owners of La Nonna were too lazy to enter this on Google, I ended up going hungry with no other decent food options between their bakery and my destination, an hour and a half further north. La Nanna is now firmly cemented as a no go in my book.

Very busy 27 December morning. Queued and ordered an almond croissant and a loaf of 5 grain bread to go. The bread was incredibly salty and didn't feel or taste freshly baked. It was inedible.Sadly the croissant also seemed less than fresh.I wouldn't bother stopping there again. For those prices you'd expect top quality.

Wow, what a bunch of friendly staff!!!! One staff member overheard my name and she assisted me using it....i felt special!! How attentive!! The coffee was delicious, too!! Should have ordered a large!!!! Looking forward to many more visits!!

Great pies, great bread, sad most was sold out early. A great stop on your way up to Northland or down back to Auckland...
