Really friendly and inviting staff, chatty and fun while I waited, and very inclusive. I was made to feel really safe and calm for my first tattoos, and they came out exactly as I wanted. They also gave good aftercare instructions. Very happy!

My wife and I were dropping in quickly to Christchurch and wanted to get tattoos. Steve was super quick to respond and accommodate our schedule. Thanks so much. Maki (artist) was super helpful and came up with a fantastic design that matched what I wanted. She took great care to keep a clean station and make sure I was good to go. Spot on! Nice work! I love my new tattoo.

Steve has done 4 tattoos for me over the past 14 years and his ability never seizes to surprise me. I love his sense of humour and calming nature. Its been quite a while since I was tattooed last, but now I am continuing my addiction. The Jolly Octopus is full of talented and friendly staff who are helpful with creating designs and ideas. Steve has exceeded my expectations on several occasions now, the first time with Chucky, which confirmed I had chosen the right tattoo artist and studio to continue with my other ideas. The second was with a Grim Reaper cover up, and now that its finished, one wouldn’t realise that it is a cover up. Steve has great aptitude for detail and colour matching, and I highly recommend him and his staff at The Jolly Octopus if you are looking for flair as I have since returned for several more.

Steve was professional and did a great job piercing my lobes (thirds) and first helix. I am very happy with the results and will be coming back here to get some more. I would no hesitate to recommend you guys to others.
