The steak was great! Perfectly cooked with three great sauces. The oyster wasn’t. Instead of giving us sauces to add, they put the sauce on already when serving. I ate a bad oyster and was sick the whole night.

Wow oh wow… what a great location and vibe this hunting lodge style bar is.Lots of textural delights and natural fibres to delight your tactile sense and I haven’t even started on the service, food and beverage.The wait staff were so stylish and attentive making you feel like a VIP guest, the drinks were sensational and the menu is next level for a small bar of this type.

A perfect spot to grab an outdoor lounger and a blanket, order a drink then just sit down and watch the people pass by or busk with their talents. The view is amazing and the service is excellent. I tried both their fried and fresh oysters, and got completely addicted to their fresh ones. Perfectly shucked, chilled and seasoned, and I usually don’t any like oysters!!Their small rabbit and veal meatballs with smoked cheese are super tasty and their tagliatelle with lamb ragu is also exceptional.Overall, fantastic food, great atmosphere and service.

Really poor experience at The Lodge Bar last night.It was a Saturday around 6.30pm so it was understandably busy. We asked for a table for 3 and were told there was one out the front, which was fine for us given the blankets and heaters. When we sat down, the server who took our order made a point of reiterating multiple times that we only had an hour, which was fine given we had a dinner reservation elsewhere. Our drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive, and we only had around 15 minutes to drink them before the staff member came over to tell us the next table was here. We drank our cocktails quickly and paid, but I raised that our server told us we had an hour when I went to pay, and he gaslighted me by saying he said 35 minutes, which was just completely untrue. It's fine to make a timing error, but acknowledge it and just apologise - don't try to gaslight a customer (especially when there were two other people with me who also heard him say an hour!).There are plenty of great cocktail bars in Queenstown such as Eichardts, I suggest you go there instead.

Particularly delightful place to spend an afternoon especially if you can get one of the outdoor tables. All of the staff were very lovely and friendly. The host claimed they do the best Espresso Martini and I was pleasantly surprised to find he was right! It was delicious.

Pleasantly surprised with this dining experience.Food was great and I could not fault a single dish.The beef cheek simply melted in your mouth and the chips were well seasoned and perfectly fried.

What an amazing place, I think people get lost in the amazing cocktail and wine list with tranquil views and forget about the tantalizing dinner menu.The staff are amazing, they know the product and they serve with a huge smile. We felt like we belonged, we were not rushed. Each dish was presented with a well rehearsed explanation of the food involved. I give 5 stars to the staff too.I saw so many taking part in capturing the views and the yummy espresso martini that they forgot about the food menu. Who can blame them ;-)But hey they missed out on one the tastiest menus in Queenstown. If you want to pick a few oysters or a light entree or their main fare, it is a degustation you will not forget.This place is more then a great little cocktail wine bar. Dining tables are limited so book ahead, you will not be disappointed.I could tell you about every dish, but I will not, as I will be back to sample more, that good. Bon Appetite.

Terrific restaurant. Great food and attentive service. An exhaustive New Zealand wine and spirits list. I recommend the black oysters with a martini made with local gin. But, you decide!You will not be disappointed!
