GO Rentals - Queenstown Airport

Wonderful experience! We booked the Mitsubishi outlander for 13 days in May. Great size car. Pick up and drop off perfect. Kind staff, very easy!

GO Rentals pretty unhappy that its now been 5 days without any follow up despite repeated assurances someone would be in touch. Arrived Friday night in Queenstown after hours (7pm) to find our car did not have a car seat for our 14 month old. We rang for assistance and were advised to try to get a car seat from another car rental place as no one else was able to come to the shop at that time.We were given a car seat by another car company but they did not know how to install it and after spending 2 hours trying to install it via YouTube, we realized the base was missing and it was not suitable for the height of our toddler. We spent 2 hours in the cold trying to sort this with minimal lighting so as a result my baby and I both caught colds.When we rang back, we were finally able to get someone to come, open the shop and install the carseat.The girls were very apologetic and advised someone would be in touch the next day to follow up. This did not happen. We contacted Go Rentals on Monday to follow up and were advised someone would be in touch today. I'm concerned that it does not seem like an urgent priority to review your processes when a child's legal safety is concerned. Normally we have very good service but this has been a real let down and now having no follow up is frustrating as we spend the last day of our holiday sick in bed thanks to disorganization and poor communication. Do better please.EDIT: Thankyou for getting in touch and listening to our concerns. We appreciate the apology and actions to support it. We will continue to use Go Rentals in future as this was a simple mistake and accountability was taken. No other issues, and the car was very good!

We very very happy with our experience with Go Rentals.Great communication and friendly efficient service. The people carrier we hired was close to new, in perfect condition, and ideal for our week long trip with three adults and two children, plus lots of luggage.

Had a great experience with GO Rentals. Rented a Mitsubishi Outlander and was able to pick up and drop off the car with no issues. Paid exactly as I was quoted and the car came in great condition. We opted in a GPS whilst picking it up and was given one right away.The fuel consumption for this model was pretty high at times but that’s to be expected when driving on icy Queenstown roads.Highly recommend and will definitely be back in the future :)

Exceptional service and empathy dealing with an early vehicle return due to breaking my wrist. Peter was empathetic and kind which is so rare these days. Don't hesitate to use Go Rentals, the vehicle was excellent, easy to book, love the app, and just opposite Queenstown airport for pick up. No shuttle required. Highly recommend.

Brilliant car rental company that’s right beside Queenstown airport terminal, it’s really convenient with awesome staff and great quality vehicles. We rented one of their Tesla 3 models, Wow! such an awesome way to explore Queenstown and the surrounding areas in style! Highly recommend Go Rentals, and they are 100% NZ owned and operated. A+

I am very disappointed with GO Rentals, we booked their car last year and it was fantastic so we decided to go with the same company this year. Unfortunately, this time they charged unreasonable extra fees after we’ve returned the car.We are 100% certain that we did not smoke inside or near the car. They claimed that we’ve smoked inside because they found empty cigarette package. We totally understood how that may lead to the assumption that we’ve smoked inside so we asked the staff to inspect the car with us as soon as we received their email about additional fees. The staff refused to inspect the car while we’re there (fully knowing that our flight was about to take off, and once we’re aboard there’s no way we could argue).The fact that they can just charge additional fee because they know we smoke is totally acts of discrimination. You might as well set the initial price differently according to whether or not the customer smokes regardless of their behaviour on the car.I’m not complaining simply because of the extra fee, but about their ‘scamming’ attitude, why not inspect the car with us? If upon inspection there was any clear indications (ie cigarette smell or ashes) i have no problem paying.

It was a good experience overall, but the first tesla we got there was an issue with the camera that would unable it to use cruise control or auto pilot. We called you and I went to the office to swap to a different one, this second one had speed limit which would unable to use the acelaration on the standard mode. Looks like there's no consistency on the cars settings. The staff were friendly and waited over the business hours in order to swap the car. Overall it was a good experience and I would rent a car again.

Exceptional service, from Booking to Pick-up and then drop off.We hired the 8 Seater Hyundai iMax and this Vehicle was very Clean and Obviously well looked after. This Vehicle was exactly what we needed for our Family Holiday. Highly recommend and we will definitely Hire again for our next Holiday. Thanks guys :)
