Fantastic place to bring the children and have a fun day out, there is lots of different things for all ages of children or parents.Bring a towel for anyone that might want to get very wet playing at the different water activities.There is car parking right beside the park.There is also different food and drinks carts that have a good selection.Toilets are available on site.One thing that really impressed me was how clean the whole area was and everything was in working condition.

This is a great park for kids, there is plenty of parking, plenty of space to move around. The playground equipment caters for all ages & abilities. There is also some water activities that is great for warmer weather. The park is very close to the centre of Christchurch (& the tram) if you want to visit the shops as well.If you need to burn some energy off the kids, take them here !

A huge playground that kids can have fun. So much thing to do around the playground. Their also a barbecue area that you can bring along your family and friends. The river just other side of the playground you can see some big eel.

Free parking available, drinkable water fountain is also available. There's enough space and safety precaution for every child to play with. Good place to hangout with friends and family too.

Perfect playground for kids! Any age from 2 and upwards! There is a sand area as a water play area, this place is epic! My kids loved the large slide and the zip line. They could spend here all day. Plenty of sitting area around the playground but lacks shading. Coffee, ice cream and food trucks around the playgrounds

It's a beautiful park that has almost everything that kids will enjoy of all ages (2+ years & above) and parents to sit and enjoy the stream close by. There is a BBQ station and picnic tables available too. Has decent number of parking spaces too. Splash pad is a very good activity during summer too.

The Margaret Mahy Family Playground
Best playground I have seen in New Zealand. It's like a free amusement park. The big slides are fun for kids but also for toddlers accompanied by their guardian or even as an adult its just fun. There is ample parking for 180 minutes. Toilets available. Also drinks and snacks on the area
