I purchased a kids bed off them and it split. They said they would replace it and were waiting for it to arrive. I got in contact with them again seeing if the bed was in stock and it was however they didn't realise it was me regarding a replacement needed and I haven't heard from them sinceFurther to this review, they have now responded in a threatening manner due to my 1 star review. They are not helpful, poor communication and out right rude to deal withAs per their response below I can add the full email chain, including them saying I assume as by the Google review you will be sorting this yourself? I will be cancelling your order for your replacment piece in the meantime andYour review came in over the weekend when we do not do any admin/emails, your review was untrue and defamatory and we are within our rights to take this further should we wish too, NZ law is tightening regarding reviews such as this and seeking compensatory damages via the small claims process, it's up to you if you remove this but is in your best interest to do so, your bed is broken, it is not our fault,The bed had not been in use for a year. It was in storage in their packaging. I made contact with them originally about it March 2022. Their last response to me was in August about it

We purchased a kids ATV off them back in April and had nothing but issues. ATV was returned a number of times due to damaged and faulty parts. They replaced faulty parts that could not be adjusted and then tried to blame myself for not carrying out a maintence check before we even got to use it. We had leaking fuel issues to which he advised me on a number of occasions were user error. We returned it to get assessments carried out under the warranty and we were informed a mechanic was carrying out assessments to ensure it is safe to use. He even spoke about him following up with the mechanic and 'the mechanic has advised me of this' and saying 'he needs to get a report from a mechanic before he can proceed'. We requested a number times for copies of the mechanics reports to be provided to us but Nic the owner, refused to provide them. Only to later find out, Nic was carrying out the assessments himself, not a mechanic. He then told me I have a bad attitude and refused to respond to any correspondence. He has no understanding on the requirements under the Consumer Guarantees Act. We took him to the Disputes Tribunal and won, getting our money back, and lodged a formal complaint to the Commerce Commission. Nic the owner is a lying decitful, individual. Communication with this individual was beyond a joke. Worst business/individual I have ever dealt with. Stay well away from Half Price Imports.

We bought one of the city master scooters a couple of years ago now from day one we have had nothing but issues with the electric start and even the sales guy was having issues starting it on the day of purchase. We just recently replaced the cheap battery with a better battery with more cranking amp and it starts first pop so my advice to anyone that buys one of these scooters is to buy a better battery also other faults with these bikes are bad earth to the starter motor and a poor quality starter motor.

Rude. Product broke within an hour of using, was fixed but charged for fixing as claimed it had been broken by going off road. Off road meant om a stone driveway and the lawn. Would not listen to explanation or negotiate. Would not recommend.
