I am giving this practice a high rating because my doctor Laura Garlick was able to detect early signs of breast & lymph node cancer on my first visit. She is a very lovely lady and I am happy I made the switch from GP City on Willis Street. However I do agree with some of the comments made here about the medical administration staff. My appointment took longer because I had to be referred to a few specialist which cause the senior administration staff member to raise her voice at me... for holding up other patient appointments. I just felt the situation could have been handled a lot better with a little more understanding and empathy. Thanks :-)

Fantastic facility and great ability to get a appointment. The GP had great communication skills and treated us with a lot of dignity. He did a really good physical examination and diagnosis. The reception staff were helpful and very friendly too .Only down side as a out of towner was having to pay cash and not being able to use the credit card facilities.

Dr. Jonothan is genuinely one of the nicest people I have met, he is extremely caring and is willing to help. All the staff are very kind people. If you are looking for a Health Care Centre, I highly recommend this place as it is affordable and reliable.

These two stars go directly to the doctor's and nurses who work here and are absolutely lovely and so professional. What a let down your reception team are. So rude and abrupt especially when answering the phone. Customer service and empathy training definitely would not go to waste here. Multiple times I have been responded to in a condescending and rude manner. Not great for a health care centre dealing with people with potential mental health issues that's for sure!

I've been here several years and although they are cheaper than other places, they are constantly changing doctors - without warning! Each time this happened they promised me the new doctors weren't going anywhere but they all lasted less than 1 year. When you have chronic health issues you need to build a good relationship with your GP and this isn't possible here. Lots of time wasted (on my own coin!) explaining my medical history again and again. Don't waste your time and money here. It also takes a long time to get an appointment, at least a week, sometimes a month. Once about a year ago I was actually suggested by the team to go find another practice as they didn't think they could support me anymore. How's that for caring.

Truly horrendous place. I have tried to give this place a chance again and again but I'm officially over it.I had an incredible doctor when I first joined. Literally an angel - Dr. Anna Kang. I think I'll always be looking for someone as good as her and probably won't find it. She left years ago and I stayed on. I got a new GP, Dr. Laura Garlick. She was very good. But then she left too. Then I didn't really have a GP but was enrolled at the clinic.Things have completely deteriorated since then. Takes a long time to get appointments. You'll see someone new each time. One of the times, I was told I didn't have depression and anxiety, but I needed purpose in my life and should go to church and find religion (but a very specific form of religion that matched the doctor's I was seeing). Texted me through the clinic his church details. Quite unprofessional but I gave it a pass since he was a nice guy.The last event though was a final straw. I got covid 11 days before flying to the USA to see my family who I haven't seen in 3 years. I was recovered by day 7, but according to the ministry of health guidelines, you can still show positive for up to 28 days after you've recovered. This is why you need a doctor's note for the airlines to say you are fit to fly even though you cannot produce a negative RAT. Well, this doctor didn't know any of the guidelines. He also claimed that I was breaking the rules and I should still be isolating because I coughed up phlegm once while in his presence. He then proceeded to make up a new protocol where he would only give me the go ahead to fly if I produced TWO negative RAT tests. I obviously was going to test positive because that's the reason I was there for the note! A complete waste of time. Totally rude about it, zero empathy, complete ignorance of the current MOH protocols, and travel guidelines. Needless to say, I nearly couldn't fly. I had to search around for a second opinion. I finally found one and they gave me the all clear in the eleventh hour. I had to miss the final days of work prior to my departure sorting out my travel plans. So many tears, frustration, and anxiety when I followed the rules and was well. I went home to see my elderly mother who obviously never got it because I WAS RECOVERED. The attitudes this place has to covid is as if we are still trying to eliminate it from our borders. Zero updating to the thinking or even staying in step with MOH protocol. I'm out. Changed GPs. Final straw.

Covid level 2. And Wellington does not have any case. And we are not looking for appointment due to any covid symptoms.Called up to seek appointment for 9 year old child, due to ear pain, on Thursday! They said we give you phone appointment for Monday, and at that time doctor will decide whether you need to bring child in or not to check for ear infection. Which may be again after some time or days!!!Meaning, they are so busy, that they will call you for real appointment only after 4 days. I wonder is it really worth calling them GP.I could understand that they are busy and will book appointment after some time. But in name of phone appointment, they are in fact taking 4 days to book the real appointment. If it is due to covid, then I feel like this is actually covid fobia!

Very friendly staff, proactive in giving information to new patients or immigrants not aware of medical system, genuinely concerned and amazing knowledgeable doctor. I and my husband are happy to be enrolled with this practice as we feel someone cares for us the way we would expect.

I would give zero stars if i could. I have been a patient for a few years and have NEVER had an easy experience. The reception staff are some of the rudest I have ever come across. They almost always mess up my repeat prescriptions. Not only that, I get the 3rd degree because I have an accent (even though they have on their records that I am a citizen). I also saw a male Dr there who argued with and belittled me-I have never been treated so poorly by a dr. When I rang to say I never wanted to see him again, I was told that they have recieved numerous complaints about him. I have finally switched practices and will never go here again.
