Master of Gingerbread

Alright, i have tried most bakeries in Palmerston North searching for the best fresh cream donut and this bakery is at the top. Buns are always nice and soft, cream is always fresh, can taste the jam on each bite and the price is lower than others i won't mention... Keep up the good work team.

After reading all the positive reviews I was so excited to try this place... and so disappointed when I did.Gluten free afghans were terrible, full stop - the taste and texture both very strange. The ordinary afghans also needed improvement - more butter in the dough and more icing. Also, the little flake of walnut looks like you're being really tight...almost not worth bothering.The Belgium biscuits demonstrated a lack of quality control. These biscuits should be thin and flat. Mine were all different sizes and thicknesses, as if a toddler had rolled out the dough. Plus one, some small slim biscuits were paired with great big thick things, which seemed really careless. Again, a really sad amount of icing so they were dry and unpleasant and honestly just tasted like baking soda.Haven't got to the yo-yos yet but hopefully they're better. Overall, I could have made much better biscuits at home and so it's disappointing to have paid for what I thought would be nostalgic treats but turned put to be bit of a waste of money and ingredients. I recommend consulting Ladies, A Plate as all the biscuits mentioned here are in that book and the recipes make for much, much better results.Update: mother in law had some kind of apple pastry which wasn't cooked on the bottom. Have contacted business and hoping they can rectify.I may come back to see if the gingerbread is better but definitely won't buy the biscuits again.

the idea place to go if you have a sweet tooth, a little pricey though especially when you keep going back

Had to cater a morning tea with limited notice today. I need to pass on some rave reviews that we received on the Cheese Scones and the Jam Drop biscuits!!

I wouldn't consider myself, in any measure, a connoisseur of baked desserts. What I can confidently say, however, is that everything I've had from here is absolutely stunning.The range of items available ensures that there is something to fit everyone's taste. Of those that I have tried, the titular gingerbread, afghans, and cheesecake (of various flavours) have been the highlights.Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes high quality food.

Nice food and friendly staff. You need to check how much you are being charged for your shopping - twice recently I have been overcharged, the store did refund the difference, but a hassle to have to return to get my refund. Fruit/spice hot cross buns need more spice (in my opinion).

Always a Great Service. And their Ice Coffees are 2nd to none. The food is Amazing. Definitely going back weekly.

Tried the M&M s’more biscuit, absolutely loved it! The biscuit was a bit crumbly but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
