Hope Presbyterian Church

Friendly congregation mixed with a strong base built on sound theology.Being Presbyterian, you will be treated to all kinds of voting ceremonies due to the collaborative and open nature of the presbytery.They have a great children's programme, one which my arts and craftsey daughter finds hard to leave each week.They also have a great community focus, featuring a mixture of many programs along with international congregation connections.

Wonderful friendly and a great place to worship at, this is like no church I've ever seen, if you want to feel the holy spirit in action, give this place ago.

Every second Wednesday starting on the 13/02/19 at 10am they have a womens cafe free coffee and homemade food.

I'm so glad I have re - joined Hope Hornby after such a long absence. Really missed the place and it feels like I've come home again. I'm hoping to re - settle in Hornby at some point in the future as I grew up in the area.

Lovely kind caring people at the Ladies Group I take my Mum to when I'm not working.Delicious morning tea put on for everyone.

Cult masquerading as presbyterianism. I know and spend time with many presbyterians on a daily basis and this church’s attitude towards christianity is completely unacceptable. The band performed inappropriate hymns and smiled. This church ruined my grandfather’s funeral by making the story of a brilliant man’s life into a chance to tell me and the other non-christians there that we will burn in hell if we do not join them. Absolutely disgusting mishandling of power. One of the church leaders went up and gave a eulogy slandering wokeness and political correctness since moving to New Zealand. He very clearly missed apartheid South Africa where he grew up which is quite obviously a no go. No real christians act like this. Jesus did not die for His people to act this way.

This is not a church this is a cult.I recently texted and requested for a prayer request and some food I was turned away all coz I dont believe in GodThey turned me away very bad church they didnt even care much when I asked for pray when my mum died xmas just gone

My family found the Hope Presbyterian Church Hornby very helpful during the loss of our Father. The lengths they went to to cater for our families every need was amazing. We would highly recommend Hope Presbyterian Church Hornby.

Very welcomed at my first visit to the fortnightly woman's cafe. Will go again.
