Zealand Tattoo Queenstown Studio

This is by far the best tattoo experience I have ever had with some of the most talented artists I’ve ever seen. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and Guillermo even stayed late just to finish my tattoo in one session. They genuinely care about their clients and there’s good energy through the whole building!! 10/10 experience

I love this tattoo studio!! The staff is absolutely fantastic. From the moment I walked in the door, they were kind and informative. Guillermo was an amazing artist and person!

Unprofessional waste of time. I booked an appointment weeks ago. Day of, I was asked if I could move back two and a half hours from 3:00 to 5:30 because the artist, Sam, was running over with another customer. I agreed. I arrived for my appointment, and Sam spoke to me about my tattoo idea, then went into the back to “start drawing.” After a few minutes, the receptionist (not Sam, who didn’t have the respect to come out herself) told me that my design would take too long, and that they couldn’t do it as scheduled because it was too late and would take too long. This was the only time I had available, which was why I booked it weeks prior to my visit. The shop messed up on many levels. I could have booked a tattoo elsewhere, I could have rescheduled other events for that day, or o could have rescheduled events on other days, but the shop’s lack of professionalism resulted in a wasted day on my vacation, yet still no tattoo. Poor customer service, poor communication, poor professionalism. I have nearly a quarter of my body covered in tattoos, and this was the worst experience I’ve had. Book elsewhere.

Walked in with my design and told them how I wanted it to look. Could come in the next day and really loved the design they made for me!The tattoo artist was really calm and did a great job with the fine lines.Happy with the result!

I cannot express how horrible my experience here was. DO NOT GET A TATTOO HERE UNLESS YOU PERSONALLY KNOW AND TRUST THE ARTIST!!!! They did not check our IDs, or have us sign any waivers. They did not show us clean needles prior to starting. Prices were not disclosed upfront (before he began I said “hold on, what is the price?” And the artist didn’t know so he asked the guy at the front desk). My tattoo was small and easy but required straight lines. The lines are all over the place, lumpy, and it’s not even. It looks like a 2 year old gave me a tattoo. It’s absolutely horrible. I expressed my concern when he said he was done and gave him the opportunity to fix it and it still looks horrendous. An eye sore. Everyone who has seen it has asked me if I’m okay because it’s literally so bad that they can’t believe that’s actually tattooed on my body. After he tried to fix it, it was obvious that he was completely in capable of correcting it and I just gave up. I came with two other friends and one of them got a Koru and the “circle” is more like an egg. But at least her lines are clear I guess? Our other friend clearly got put with a professional and his tattoo looks great. ZERO after care instructions. The second skin they put on was cut so small and applied so poorly that it came off in two hours. Once our tattoos were “finished” each artist literally sprinted out the door. Didn’t clean their stations, didn’t provide after care instructions. Just turned off the needle and jumped up and left.I have reached out to them in hopes they can remedy the situation and will update this review accordingly. But for now…. STAY FAR FAR AWAYUPDATE: When I came back by the shop Brit was very apologetic and helpful. They cleaned up my tattoo, applied another second skin, and gave me my deposit back. I appreciate her genuine concern and attempts to remedy the situation! Unfortunately, the tattoo is not healing well and is infected — which has never happened to me before. Overall, I’m pleased with how Brit handled the situation (not necessarily others who work there).

Britt was super friendly and helped us design the tattoo and choose the right size. Made it very easy for our first tattoo. Guillermo the tattoo artist was very good and quick as well, going the extra mile to draw up and check we had the perfect designs. Thank you!

Facility is clean and has great staff. I wanted a small memento of my holiday to New Zealand and Brit (I hope I have the name correct) was so helpful. I have multiple tattoos and knew what I wanted was very basic. She explained their process, the facility, and introduced me to the artist, Marcel (I hope have his name spelled correctly too). I loved how they both spoke with me and made me feel like a friend hanging out at the studio and not some random tourist (even though I was one)!!! I even saw Marcel working on perfecting the stencil for the silver fern. Great studio. Phenomenal staff. 10/10 recommend. Cheers!

Best tattoo place in Queenstown! The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Britt at the front desk was very kind and helpful, she helped communicate with the artist to get the perfect design for my tattoo. Marcello the artist did a great job! Highly recommend for any tourist or local.

My boyfriend and I walked in to Zealand tattoo and automatically Zane greeted us and was super friendly from the start. He helped adapt my boyfriends tattoo and design it exactly the way he wanted, taking his time going over every part of the tattoo. Marcello did the actual tattoo, and took great care and the detail is amazing. The final result looks incredible, really happy with how it turned out.Would really recommend, such a friendly and welcoming team and amazing art work!!

We love our honeymoon couple tattoos!! Awesome studio, exceptional and welcoming service. Listened to what I wanted and delivered such a gorgeous piece, I’m in love. Petra is an incredible artist.
