Went there recently as it was the one that answered the phone when ringing around. Serving size, chips was great, taste good. Fish was good size and taste awesome. Well done Hilltop, I'll change the star rating up again if its the same or close on my next try.Fish and chips tasted ok, 6-10. Phoned order in and was ready when expected, 10-10. Portion size fish, small to average, 5-10. Portion size chips, very small, 3-10. Price vet high for Wanganui $16 for 2 fish +2 chips, 2-10. Overall 26-50 very dissapointing.Thanks for the response and acknowledging mix up and the over charging. You have not however offered to put it right. I would be happy to change my review based on another experience if you would like to redo my order within the next week.

Sorry but the chips were very average and the oil was too old.The fish batter was good but the fish didn't fall apart in my mouth like it should. The coke was nice and cold

Was OK for an early evening drop-in. Reasonably priced and efficiently served. Didn't rate the garlic chips. They were a bit undercooked, and garlic sauce splashed over them. They just made a soggy mess. I was probably thinking it was a garlic salt, probably my fault for not checking first

Just delicious, fish was fresh, had snapper and warehou, battered and crumbed , cooked to perfection, and great chips too. Recommend.

This is my local for f&c and I'm never disappointed. Crumbed fillets are reliably fresh and generous in size, chips are good, and prices are reasonable.
