Wellington Combined Taxis Limited

Making a booking was very easy, and driver was in front of the house at the correct time we asked for.But when I did the booking, i was given a quote for the ride I needed. And unfortunately at the end of the ride, the driver added a lot more on top of that. So in the end I felt cheated, and will probably not use this service anymore.If you do need to, make sure to ask about extra fees or what not before you book. Or else you might end up paying way more than what you budget for.

Overall, they are pretty good. i use them when in Wellington. Some drivers, however, could do with a shower.

At 11:50 am I asked a Combined Taxi driver to move his taxi and not to park in the motorcycle parking on College St, out side Cafe Laffare.My request was answered with a bararge of negative, vulgar and abusive language from the driver , who even approached me in a threatening manner.I remained in my vehicle and continued to ask him to move on several times and eventually he did.So much for Combined Taxes Professional Driver's, no manners, unreasonable , not safety concerned .More like lazy, arrogant, abusive and aggressive.I don't recommend this Taxi Company and suggest they put more effort into their driver training and coustomer service.Very Poor indeed.I wonder how Taxi drivers like other driver's using Taxi stands for parking .Maybe we should all start doing that and see what sort of response we get .I guarantee it won't be very nice.Combined Taxes Failure.

Driver was on time for when the taxi was ordered, 7am trip to Wellington airport. Should have known something was up when he asked if I wanted to go round the bays or through the Vic tunnel. We get to airport and he parks too far back from the barrier arm scanner to read his plate, reverses up, and chooses another gate, adding at least $1 to the trip. When we stop the meter reads, $39.90. I am then charged $51.80. I understand airport charges etc but this was ludicrous. When I asked why the difference the driver rattled off about 4 charges for different things listed on a crumbling sticker on the dash. An absolute joke. Save money, take an Uber.

The worst service possible.I waited one hour and thirty five minutes for a cab and no one turned up. I rang twice and was met by obfuscation and general unhelpfulness.I will never use Wellington Combined Taxis ever again.I have travelled in cabs around the world.This response was as bad as it gets and the operators couldn’t care less.

called 3 days in advance to order a shuttle, yet on the day it didn't arrive and when I called the company they said they didn't have a booking, and didn't have a van to get us, very frustrating and unreliable! we were going to the airport so it was quite stressful and inconvenient!

Driver was fine. This company has started using a $3.80 surcharge for paying by eftpos! Not for credit or pay-wave just good old fashioned eftpos! I encourage you to use any other company than this pack of price gougers.

We made a taxi reservation to bring us to Wellington airport from Island Bay for 3:00h AM on February 28, 2023. Very friendly driver who arrived in time and brought us straight to the airport for NZD 34.00 which to us is a very acceptable price. Car was a Toyota Camry which fitted all our luggage. We also received an upfront text message that the taxi was underway. All in all great service and next time we are in Wellington we will definitely make use of this company again.Peter & Joy from Amsterdam, the Netherlands
