Castlepoint Lighthouse
Beautiful and serene place where relax and enjoy the view from the Lighthouse.We stayed for the night in the free camproung parking area in front of the beach. Public toilets nearby.Make sure to have enough petrol, the nearest station is in Masterton :)Highly recommended.

Been here quite a few times, big walk up to the lighthouse but worth it for the views. Some places not fenced so keep an eye on kids.

Castlepoint Lighthouse
Magical place, this and Cape Reinga light house are my top two here on the North Island. It's definitely worth the drive from Martinborough, where we stayed. Be warned, though. We came super early for the sun rise and didn't know high and low tides were a factor to get on to the lighthouse, luckily it was shallow enough for us to take our shoes off and walk across. By the time we were done enjoying the scenery and taking photos, the tide had decreased enough for us to walk back with shoes on. Keep that in mind.

I was very impressed by the wonderful sandy beach and views. There was ample parking space and clean toilets to make our stay comfortable. Next time I would bring enough food and drink to relax and enjoy my stay.

A beautiful location with a small seal colony and great views from the lighthouse. There is a short walk via a boardwalk or beach to the lighthouse. We visited on a windy day so prepare appropriately otherwise on a fine day, I am sure it will be even more enjoyable.

This is a hidden gem! There's a short walk up to the lighthouse which is the largest in the North Island. On the way you'll spot seals playing on the beach and rocks below. It's a great selfie point!

Castlepoint Lighthouse
A beautiful lighthouse that feels like you're at the edge of the world (kind of!). Well worth a visit if you're around the east coast of the north island - a bit of a meandering drive to get there but well worth it. A beautiful sunrise viewpoint at the top and lots of informational panels on the way up. There's also an overnight stay carpark nearby for self contained vehicles with handy toilets and sinks.

Wonderful side trip if you like lighthouses. We visited on our roadtrip from Masterton to Wellington. Hardly anyone around. Great photo opps, especially if you have a drone.

Castlepoint Lighthouse
Amazing place. My friend grows up here and took me today for our 31st December night. I can’t believe of the beauty of this place. I can say this is hidden gem of New Zealand.
