I would choose 0 star if there was an option.Bought a pair of snow pants from torpedo 7 and turns out the staff did not take off the anti-theft clasp. I was spending 2 hours try to take it out, it doesn’t work at all. That is funny.

Be professional when addressing customers. Young assistant at checkout kept referring to me as 'mate' on no less than four occasions. Show respect to your cudt6. I am neither, mate, dude, bro, fella or any other inappropriate form to be addressed.

Bikes buyers: be aware as Torpedo7 will do everything to get out of their warranty obligations.I bought a $4000 Giant Trance on New Year's Day from this store and it showed some scratches on the frame which the salesperson mentioned were caused by previous test rides. I didn't pay too much attention as I was in a hurry and was happy that there were all cosmetic. Just before I left the store, the chain came off and they realized the rear derailleur arm was bent (the alarm bell rang then) and they straightened it. It was clearly abused by previous demo riders. I was traveling back to Auckland so didn't spend too much time inspecting all the other parts of the bike.Upon returning and closer inspection, it shows excessive damages and some were not highlighted to me. I dropped the bike off at their New Market store on 4th Jan immediately and requested a resolution. Since then, they have gone in circles amongst stores and their customer care (who said it's not their problem) and none wanted to accept responsibility.Worst still, multiple staff members accused me of damaging the bike while in transit and buying the 'damaged' bike knowingly (despite the fact I bought it on promo paying full price and Evo Cycle was selling the same bike for the same price).  Moreover, I showed them the car (Land Cruiser Prado) I transported it in (all seats laying flat and with an additional mat I specifically bought from Bunnings for the trip). It is extremely disappointing as no sane person would buy a $4000 bike and not look after it carefully.  I wish they spent less energy accusing fees paying customers and focusing on looking after customers, looking after their bikes in store, and improving their internal processes. Will not be shopping at Torpedo7 again and will be making a complaint under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Louis from the bike department at Torpedo 7 Riccarton went out of his way to provide me with outstanding service. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in his search for the product I was looking for. Really appreciate the commitment, effort and follow through.

Bad experience.1. no assistant other than the counter.2. different prices for the same product online and in-store.3. display items and brand-new items were not put together and brand new items were stacked in a mess.

Bought a road bike for a considerable sum and on the first ride the bike was a death trap - derailleurs weren’t set making only 3 gears usable, brakes not set so when I pulled I touched the handles. There is no way a bike builder and the checker should be this poor. If you are after a proper bike, go elsewhere and deal with people who care about riding and take pride in their work. Don’t even get me started on trying to get through to seek a resolution either - no answer and no accountability

Terrible service. No one approached us the entire time we were there. We were there over an hour. Many products didn’t have prices. When I approached staff for help they were very grumpy. I would def shop elsewhere for you ski gear as these guys were not interested at all!

I have just received excellent help from John in the Snow section of T7 Riccarton while buying board/boots/bindings. Probably the best I have experienced in NZ and that's over a period of 30 years. I hope this is recognised by the management. (I once worked in a ski shop in Europe so I do have some idea about what is 'good').

Not so great experience couple of times. One guy really not helpful and not to worry about wasting customers time.1st-I walked in and saw one guy seating in the computer on the corner so asked about bell helmet visor bolt if I can buy couple and he said there is no the guy dealing with it so come back later. Understood, but I would make a note for customer and try to help instead of just expressing I don't care what you want it's not my job.2nd-I walked into the shop again the other day and I saw same guy seating in same spot. I asked if I can buy 100% Goggle as i couldn't find in the shop but I checked website and stock showing in Tower Junction branch. Again he wasn't even interested which model I'm looking for when I asked about it but just saying we are moving to new store and all stock in new store and not gonna open in 3 weeks. So just buy from online(I really wanted to see in person before I buy one). I wouldn't feel I was kicked out at least if he asked me what product and which model I'm looking for. Again he just doesn't seem to care much.Congratulations opening new bigger shop on the main road but I won't go back again.
