Ninety Mile Beach

Ninety Mile Beach trip to Cape Reinga, was a great experience for me. This beautiful trip shows you a part of the Northern Territory of New Zealand.You can start your trip from Paihia and end at Cape Reinga(the last end point of northern New Zealand or peak of new Zealand) that is a gorgeous scenic view to explore. I really recommend this beautiful trip.90 mile gives an infinite view of beach which is very rare and fantastic to experience.If you haven't been to 90 mile beach and you're planning on enjoying a trip to New Zealand I highly recommend you put this on your list of things to do in the North Island. Beautiful peaceful and very few people around so if you want peace quiet and still have access to some fantastic restaurants cafes shopping, then this is the place for you.

The day trip starts early from Paihia or other pick up points and it takes you to different locations towards the end station Cape Reinga what is a gorgeous scenic view to explore. I really recommend this beautiful trip.

Beautiful beach. Saw so many jellyfish washed ashore, was quite interesting. Make sure to check the time for high tides though unlike me who ended up stuck HAHA. Lucky our country has beautiful local people to help out. Wicked place though.

Breathtaking views, fantastic experience we had with family. Came here twice in early morning and late afternoon. Enjoyed our walks with shell picking, watching fish on the shore, coaches passing by and people just having fun taking time to enjoy God’s gift to mankind. Highly recommended

One of those unique places in the world that you must visit when you are on the North Island, and probably the largest beach that you will ever see in your lifetime.There are multiple access points to the beach, and plenty of parking at the access areas, if you are not planning to drive on the beach.Driving on the beach is the experience that most people visit here for, though! Just be careful... a lot of tourists get themselves stuck in the sand and get stranded!Some pointers if you want to drive on the beach-1. Pick a popular access point with well packed sand and a well maintained driving ramp2. Drive on the beach in a 4-wheel drive vehicle! And avoid any areas of soft sand or standing water. (We got away with driving a front wheel drive car, BUT I’m experienced at off road driving!) Most people get stuck in cars or two wheel drive SUV’s or trucks, or just because they are not driving carefully3. Stay closer to the water, away from the looser sand, and drive the beach at low tide on the packed sand4. If you do somehow get stuck, you are in a real pickle if a local person doesn’t stop to help. There is very spotty cell phone coverage in this area!! Don’t be afraid to ask for help, if you need it. A local person may not be willing to pull your vehicle out of the sand, but they may be able to help you find a tow truck (if one is available anywhere close by)Just be careful and enjoy the miles and miles of beautiful beach!

So cool, driving on the sand right next to the ocean, so peaceful, on a road that is officially a highway, just be careful, you can get stuck if the tide is too high, and not many rental companies approve this

What an amazing spot to watch the sunset and go for a drive on the beach. A unique beach experience!
