We had the most delightful lunch meal for my Mums birthday today. The food was absolutely superb. Customer service 10/10 atmosphere and location amazing. If you haven’t experienced the new lunch deal, you really need to book now. You won’t be disappointed. Taupo Hilton management and staff. Thank so much for making Mums birthday a special occasion.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent customer service, great selection of food & wine. The food was fantastic. I went here with my partner for his birthday and asked for a special request of a desert at the end of the meal. We had it delivered out to us and was a surprise for him. Very yummy. Absolutely will be back!

We visited on Mother's Day 2022. The whole experience was flawless. They have a diverse menu that surely appeals to a wide variety of dinners. The ambience of the dining room is warm and inviting and not crammed. The welcome was friendly and the table staff have hospitality plus, but it comes with a genuine desire to make your experience special.Our meals were beautifully crafted and presented. I received my steak cooked perfect, medium rare, very well done chef.All in all we couldn't fault the experience and we'd recommend highly.

Foods are delicious. Price is a bit high, approx $40-50 per person without drinks. Service is good. Waiting time for food to be served was around 20 minutes despite the restaurant was not busy. Their coffee is good, it is not in the drink menu. We asked the staff and they confirmed that they do make coffee. The restaurant do high tea as well.Parking is in front of the restaurant as it is always full.

Absolute class. Amazing food. Great atmosphere with a fire. Top quality service with a smile. Despite being fine dining, our kids loved the food. Recommend the lamb and for kids the antipasto platter was ideal for 2 kids. Breakfast was also exactly what we wanted. Great buffet. Will.come back.

We started celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary at Bistro Lago for Breakfast, the food was great, service even better and they went the extra mile by treating us to complimentary bubbles, and a Sweet Platter. Thank you to Naam and her team a perfect way to start the day, we will be back ❤️

Staff were lovely but the food was awful. We ordered a burger which was half cooked and crab linguine which looked like instant noodles and was incredibly salty. When we complained about the linguine" we were told the kitchen makes its own pasta...Would not recommend and will not return"

This restaurant is amazing. The chef is ouf of this world. We (a 40's couple) are based in Europe and travelled a lot and can say that we had an amazing experience in the Bistro Lago part of the Hilton hotel in Lake Taupo. The main point is that all is done for the taste with simplicity. The lamb is the best one I ate in my life. The starter Burrata" is absolutely exquisite. The selection of wine is perfect. The service was amazing. There is a certain ambiance (nice). The prices are more than correct comparared with the quality of the experience. I cannot recommend more to try it."

Front of house were very polite, drinks were delicious. The starter boards we ordered were inedible, everything was drenched in olive oil, which I don’t mind but not on the degree that which we were served. Mains were well cooked, very very odd flavour combinations. Deserts were lovely. This wasn’t worth the almost $150 dollars I paid for mediocre food

We had breakfast twice and cocktails once at Bistro Lago during our stay at the Hilton. The staff at the restaurant is very friendly, willing to go above and beyond when we had special needs for our kids.The breakfast is extensive, with warm food cooked to order - normal egg stuff you would expect - and cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruit, pastries and a lot more.They make good cocktails as well, with small plates that are quite delicious (try anything seafood).
