As a person who penny pinches I'm not one to spend out on fish n chips. Especially if it's just Hoki. Mediocre I've had much better and not from Tauranga.

This used to be our go to Chippy but last 3 times we got takeaways the fish tasted old (snapper) and everything was overcooked. Gutted.Was so good until the start of this year.

Took 30 minutes to get our order as they lost it. Another customer had issues as well. For their hotdogs they use sausages. My fish the batter was soft and very greasy. I will not be going here again.

Our local fish and chippy. Always a great feed. They allow us to bring any freshly caught fish and will batter it for us for $1.50 a piece, which just saves time and is tasty. Always ready 20 mins from ordering and an easy pick up between city and Bethlehem area.

Let's face it.. you don't go to a local fish and chip shop for atmosphere and that's the only thing in this ranking system that they did not score highly on in my book, ( and it is not important )We were visiting the locale from Australia and we got food here twice .. because it was really good.The fish was perfectly cooked, reasonably priced and there was a selection of 4 species including Dory and schnapper which was done perfectly .. sorry to repeat myself !

First time getting fish and chips from here due to convenience, however, will be the last time. Customer service was not welcoming, and although my meal was ready, their eftpos machine did not work three times, they stated that my card declined, although it clearly mentioned try again. They then asked me to go to the diary next door to withdraw, knowing you would have to buy something to get cash out. Now, this may seem easy, however i was not impressed by this. When i made a civil complaint about this experience, i was yelled at by a middle aged Chinese man. This is not okay, there are people who i have walked alongside that suffer from mental heath issues, and if i was one of them, i would have been traumatised by this experience.
