We recently purchased an ex-Wilderness Bürstner from a private seller. The 2016 motorhome is in excellent condition but on our first journey we had the unfortunate experience of breaking the fridge handle!Not knowing who to turn to I contacted Wilderness Motorhomes and explained our predicament. Without hesitation I was put at ease by the friendly helpful attitude of the staff! The vehicle was promptly booked in for inspection of damage, and within 45 minutes the repair had been diagnosed, costed and after approval, fixed to its original state!From the moment I contacted them I felt as if we were a part of the Wilderness extended family. And after such professional and courteous service, we are!Thank you Jenni, Tracey and the whole team at Wilderness who looked after us today.We highly recommend this fine operation for anything Campervan related!

Had a fantastic experience with the Wilderness team and travelled the South Island in their 'Compact for 2' motorhome over 2 weeks. Although the smallest of the fleet, it was perfect for a single person and surprisingly spacious particularly for a bigger lad. It drove really well and handled the windy roads with ease. The ability to manually shift gears helps getting up those inclines. The team's customer service was exceptional, I got prompt responses to my queries via the online chat before booking, the booking and vehicle pickip process was easy and seamless, and their on-road support was fantastic when I had a wifi issue. I hadn't realised my MS account was automatically backing up/uploading all my videos to the cloud and half way through my trip I had ran out of data on the unlimited wifi plan. The team at Wilderness topped me up at no extra charge and told me my uploads were very high and to check what might be causing it. Overall a fantastic experience with the company and their vehicle.

The head gasket on my T447 Carado blew up after only 3 years and 40,000km - but even though it was out of Warranty, they agreed that such an event was not a reasonable expectation or acceptable performance and they have reimbursed the costs of the repairI did not have to get into a massive fight - and they have been very positive in keeping in contact with me and my garage throughout the process -I sincerely hope they are able to reclaim the costs from Fiat -- as it was clearly a faulty head!thanks to RV WILDERNESS !

I have dealt with Wilderness since purchasing my motorhome 2nd hand in a private sale . We have just purchased a Carado T447 from Wilderness and could not have received any better service from all involved. Being first time purchases, we were conservative, nervous and had lots of questions. We went to Auckland to view the Carado range and we were very impressed.We were still hesitant and Pip rang us and we had a very enlightening conversation with her and she organised other Carado owners for us to talk to about their experience. She offered advise and support throughout the whole process, even calling when we arrived home to see how our experience and trip home was. She was also looking for ways that they could improve their service and I was quick to reassure Pip that Wilderness offers incredible, incomparable service.Purchasing the Carado T447 was the best decision ever, what an incredible motorhome. We spent 10 days driving it home from Auckland to Dunedin, learning as we went. Everything has been thought of in the design, with so much storage in soft touch cupboards, drawers, and under the floor, and the ease of use of the kitchen, the oven was fantastic. The twin single beds are a fantastic length for my 6ft 4 hubby and of course they allow for a fantastic garage where everything can go. The fridge freezer is an amazing size, while the decor is beautiful and sleek, with seats so comfortable. The dashboard has a wonderful phone holder, which was great to have phone on with directions.Easy for the driver to see and hear as we went along. We loved the shower and bathroom and used both everyday. The shower was hot and had ample hot water for your time in there. The hot water also didn't take long to heat up. The heater was great and as we were travelling in winter, we used it every night.All the team, Kathreen, Iris, Sven and Pip were professional, knowledgable, helpful and amazing in dealing with us throughout the whole process and we can't thank them enough.

We had prompt and efficient service and total satisficed with the service, will have total confidence in contact with them again.

My wife and I recently worked with Kathreen at Wilderness Motorhomes while looking to purchase an RV. Kathreen was incredibly helpful throughout the process, letting us know everything we needed to about purchasing a motorhome (especially since we live internationally). She was able to answer all our questions and was incredibly proactive throughout the process. I would recommend anyone work with her and the rest of the staff there if looking to buy a motorhome or rent one.

I couldn't have asked for a better response from Wilderness Motorhomes when I recently contacted them with an electric bed issue while travelling in Northland.. As their w/shop was fully booked for a week ahead, the super-helpful Jenni Cournane booked our Burstner into a nearby technician (Reinmann-Tuning) who was able to attend to it immediately on our arrival in Auckland. Everyone we spoke with at WM was just as helpful, from allowing us to leave our repaired m/home at their base while we went away for the day - to sourcing a replacement habitation door light cover. They really take pride in providing a first-class service.

This company offers incomparable service. Responses to requests were immediate, efficient and proactive. Jenni has amazing product knowledge and finds creative solutions to maintenance issues. We came from out of town to get work done and would do so again without hesitation. When a refund on parts purchased on our behalf was required it was done expeditiously. These are now my go to" people for motorhome sales and service. I cannot speak highly enough of them."
