Paper Plus Whakatane
The surviving bookshop in Whakatane after Whitcoulls shut up shop. Staff are super helpful & friendly. They have deals on books, etc out the front by the door and a decent array of fiction & non-fiction book with separate sections for kids and teens books. They have an array of cards and gift 'stuff' as well as kids toys, games and a selection of lego. A decently stocked stationary section with school books and home/office supplies as well as a few electronic jobbies (USB chargers, headphones & the like). The usual magazine rack by the till.

This is an excellent stationary and book store that has the added bonus of a lotto outlet as well. Very efficient staff who know their products and are always willing to you're a little bit extra to find you what you'll need. Forever you are in the area and looking for good read is what is good service this is the place for you

They render friendly and efficient customer service, have daily hot deals on books and magazines, there are selected items in-store at reduced prices like paper shredder at $19.99,it's very easy to find things like your choice books, school supplies,stationary especially, toys,home decor and greeting cards especially funny cards really elicit suppressed laughter,stamps are also available and newspapers and Lotto.The post office' friendly service is inside Paper Plus as well.Wearing masks is not required anymore .
