Amazing services! Customer service is amazing and prompt. Very honest, quotes are spot on with no surprises. They have a drop box for your keys if you’re not confident driving a faulty vehicle during day-time traffic. As a female, owning a car and trusting mechanics to be up front and honest has been hard. At the prime age of 30 I can say I’ve finally found a good one! I just love this place and although I hope not to have to see them often, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Bonus points: Afterpay!

Got a wof done, and some minor fixes to pass, WOF was great value, all fixes were done in a timely fashion for a very reasonable fee. Staff were also very helpful over the phone

My car had just started over heating on a Thursday morning so I had taken it to another mechanic originally just to get a full service to see if that would fix the issue but it didn't and my car started over heating again on the drive back home. When I got home I started searching online to find a mechanic closer to home and when I typed in mechanic near me" Te Rapa Automotive was the first one that popped up. It was around 4:50pm (Thursday) when I called up to see if they had available spaces knowing full well that this late in the week and arvo... chances are they wouldn't til the following week. But I was wrong and Mike had decided to squeeze my car in the very next morning. I gave them my car keys the next morning at 9am and had my car keys back to me by that same afternoon! I was extremely impressed at how fast and efficient these guys were but the whole experience was great from the minute I called up. They ran the car through the dyno to see what the issue was and as soon as it was found they called to inform me of what it was and the full cost of everything before starting to give me a chance to say yes or no. I now have my new go to mechanic. These guys are trust worthy and efficient... don't need anything else in a mechanic. 10 out of 10 team"

The staff at Te Rapa Automotive are amazing. They took great care of my classic and now its running mint! Highly recommend for classic cars with Holey carbs. They have all the parts on the shelf.

These guys are absolutely amazing. First phone call right through to tow truck dropping off my car then the call to to let me know my car was ready to be picked up. The woman on the phone was professional and so helpful making my car repair hassle free. They took the time to book and arrange for a courtesy car to be available so I could continue with day to day life with in the hour of my car needing attention. The main man himself handled everything right through to the itty grity insurance paperwork. Car was ready and perfect. I haven't ever had professional mechanical service like Terapa Automotive and will 100% be taking my vehicle back here because of this. That made the difference! Good stuff team.

Thanks for fitting us in so promptly for the same day brake pads. Very much appreciated. I recently had major surjery and sadly I was refused a ride back to my home, as you were short staffed. However, the work carried out was good.

I'm what you call a painful customer, and I don't part with my easily. The gentleman at the shop treated me fairly, walked me through my options, provided great advice free of charge, and did excellent repairs. They also returned me the car looking better then I gave it to the 11 out of 10 in my humble opinion. Money well spent!

Guy instantly found the issue and advised us of it. Provided all the information about it and got it fixed within 15 minutes or so. Very knowledgeable and good service.

We’ve been through three mechanics, spent thousands for our cars to still have the same issues. Since I’ve found Te Rapa automotive our cars are running better then they ever have and they’ve solved all the issues our cars we’re having. We can’t thank them enough for there fast, efficient and professional service they are the best in Hamilton :)
