The campsite itself is great. Lots of space and close to the river. The toilet however is obviously not cleaned regularly as there are heaps of insects and spider webs.We were impressed with the council who looked after the site as their staff/representative warned us about the high rising river and asked us to move to higher ground. We appreciate their safety concern.

Good location lots of space has toilet handy and picnic tables . Fishing and swimming close by. Could do with some rubbish bins for lazy people!

Good area for freedom camping as has a toilet, can get busy. The river is average now and best to check the councils website to see if it is safe to swim in. Use to be perfect a few years back but not anymore.

It's a nice basic campsite.. fair bit of traffic on the road tho but hopefully will quite in the evening. Lovely birds singing tho.

Really nice freedom spot, only down fall is truckies think it's funny to toot horns as going across the bridge in the middle of the night

Positives: its free! Clean toilet! The grass is mowed!Negatives: Right next to the freeway and very noisy. There is no water source other than the river which in this spot looked pretty stagnant. No sheltered spots so if youre in a tent, a bit of wind and rain will make for a long night.

Arrived here at night, the toilet was adequate and there is a large gravel area for plenty of motor homes.
