My son took his ute to Pit Stop to check it out for a warrant. They came up with all sorts of issues. We took it to another mechanic for a second opinion. He said half the things Pitstop came up with were fake and not required. He repaired a few issues and then we took it in for a warrant at VTNZ. It flew through. Wouldn't recommend these rogues to anyone!

The customer service from Matt is the best we have ever received. We always take our car to Pitstop, Fitzgerald Street, Christchurch, because of him. He is always the same, always excellent. Other providers and medical receptionists should take a leaf out if his book. If we get bad service from a place, we simply don't go back. With Matt, he is the reason we keep returning to Pitstop Fitzgerald.

Came here twice for the same issue. First time I got sent away saying there was no problem with my car. Came back a week later as problem had gotten worse and was quoted $1500 just to figure out what the problem was and was told “will have to start throwing money at it” and “needle in haystack problem”. Took my car elsewhere and they straight away identified it was my spark plugs and replaced them for me for $160. Would not recommend.

10/10. Best customer service experience, Matt just goes the extra mile for his customers.Short notice request for a service and manages to fit me in right away. I needed a few more repairs in the end but still busted their butts to have my car back to me that day and not at any point felt pressured when he delivered the news. Gave me options on how I can best approach this which I thought was fantastic. Really efficient and timely and will definitely be going back to these guys.

Couldn’t have picked a better place to get my car fixed. Matt was amazing from giving me advice to get my car there as well as dealing with my insurance company which was a headache or two for the both of us. The rest of the team were awesome as well once I came to finally be able to pick my car up. Will be using them again

Manager was good and friendly. The dude dealing with my vehicle looked very mad and couldn't figure out how to use a simple hand brake.Not the best feeling coming away from there.
